The upcoming game, Resident Evil Requiem, recently showcased its Amiibo figures and how they’ll be used in the game during the latest Nintendo Direct. With the February 27th release date fast approaching, more details are being revealed about returning characters, familiar gameplay features, and the story. Resident Evil Requiem aims to please all fans – offering the tense, atmospheric survival horror experience that made the series popular with the character Grace Ashcroft, alongside the action-packed gameplay of Resident Evil 4 starring Leon Kennedy. Nintendo’s Amiibo collectors also have something to look forward to, as special figures will be available for the game.
Amiibo figures first appeared with the Wii U, especially with the game Super Smash Bros. on that console. Players could use them within games to unlock items or just collect them. While some Amiibo figures have become quite valuable—the rarest ones have sold for over $1,000—they remain popular with Nintendo fans. Now, Resident Evil Requiem is getting its own line of Amiibo figures.

The Nintendo Direct showcase revealed Amiibo figures for Resident Evil Requiem, featuring Leon S. Kennedy and Grace Ashcroft. They’re scheduled to release in Summer 2026. Like Metroid Prime 4, these Amiibo aren’t just collectibles – they unlock special in-game content. Specifically, scanning the figures will grant players unique weapon skins, including a neon-style design shown during the announcement.

Like other Amiibo lines, these figures are highly detailed and made with care to please dedicated fans. Interestingly, even figures with minor flaws have sometimes become valuable collectibles, selling for much more than their original price. As this is the first time Resident Evil has released Amiibo figures, they’re likely to be very popular and could sell out quickly.
If you missed getting the Resident Evil Requiem Amiibo figures, there’s still hope! Previous Amiibo restocks suggest these might become available again if they’re popular. With their appealing designs and the large fanbase of the Resident Evil series beyond Nintendo, these figures could be very successful. It remains to be seen how well they’ll do, especially since they aren’t out until Summer 2026 – the initial excitement might fade by then. Regardless, this is a strong first effort for Resident Evil in the world of Amiibo.
