The March 27, 2026 update for Resident Evil Requiem finally adds the Photo Mode feature players have been waiting for! To use it in RE9, simply press Square (on PlayStation) or X (on Xbox) while paused. The update also includes a variety of options to help you take amazing in-game photos.
I’m so excited about the Photo Mode in Resident Evil 9! I’ve been checking out all the cool features you can play with, and I wanted to share a list of them. It also shows all the poses Grace and Leon strike when they’re showing off their best (and scariest!) moments.
How to Use Photo Mode in Resident Evil Requiem
- When in-game, press Start/Options to enter the Pause Menu.
- Press Square/X to access the Photo Mode.
- Photo Mode is accessible for both Grace and Leon.
- Within Photo Mode, you have an abundance of settings to play around with:
- Camera (Field of View, Blur, Focus, Camera Roll, etc.)
- Character (Unique Poses and Expressions for Leon and Grace)
- Effect 1 (Brightness, Contrast, Vignette, Bloom)
- Effect 2 (Filters, Lens Distortion, Chromatic Aberration)
- Frame & Stickers (Frame Type, Select Sticker)
- Other (Hide Enemies, Hide NPCs, Hide Main Character, Show Subtitles, Photo Grid)
Photo Mode is a really enjoyable and detailed feature. It’s packed with options, and you can have a lot of fun experimenting with poses – Leon and Grace even have their own unique ones!
Leon and Grace have a wide variety of movements – Leon with 42 and Grace with 50 – covering everything from energetic actions to fearful reactions. You can use the many available filters and settings to adjust the mood, making scenes either more frightening or more comical.
