The producer of Resident Evil Requiem recently mentioned that the new installment will feature returning characters from previous games.
Capcom’s upcoming game, Resident Evil Requiem, is a major focus for the company. Developers recently shared that they anticipate Requiem will outperform Resident Evil Village in sales and that work on it actually started before Village was even in development. We’ve now learned more about which characters will return in Requiem, along with some new information about the enemy known as the stalker.
Resident Evil Requiem Will Have Returning Characters, But “Don’t Over-Expect or Hype It”
In a recent interview with Well Played (reported by Eurogamer), the producer of Resident Evil Requiem, Masato Kumazawa, addressed the possibility of characters returning from the Outbreak series, given Grace’s connection to Alyssa Ashcroft. Kumazawa confirmed that some past characters will appear, but cautioned fans not to expect too much. While they can’t make any firm promises yet, he did state that characters involved in the Raccoon City incident will be featured in the game.
Masato Kumazawa explained that the stalker enemy will be a relatively minor element in the game. They’ve taken lessons from previous projects to ensure balanced gameplay. The producer emphasized that this is a new game, and their priority is creating a variety of frightening experiences for players. The development team is working hard to anticipate many different situations to maximize the horror and keep players scared.
There’s news about Resident Evil Requiem: developers are confirmed to be working on at least one downloadable content (DLC) pack.
