A source close to the project asserts that Resident Evil Requiem features three playable characters, but so far, we’ve only witnessed one of them in action.
In advance of the anticipated gameplay trailer at Gamescom Opening Night Live, there have been daily leaks about the new Resident Evil title, “Requiem.” Lately, it’s been revealed that the upcoming game incorporates combat reminiscent of ‘The Last of Us,’ as well as vehicles. Furthermore, story details for RE9 have surfaced. Now, the most recent leak hints at additional playable characters in the game.
Resident Evil Requiem Will Reportedly Have Alyssa as a Playable Character for a Bit
The latest hint regarding the playable characters in Resident Evil Requiem originated from AestheticGame (previously known as Dusk Golem) on their platform X (originally Twitter). In a past posting, they suggested that diehard fans might find RE9 “unusually similar” to the Revelations games. In response to a fan’s question about whether there would be four playable characters like in Revelations, AestheticGame replied affirmatively, mentioning that players could control Leon and Grace, along with a brief reference to “a little Alyssa.
Leon & Grace. A little Alyssa, but that’s really it.

Currently, players have only encountered Grace Ashcroft as the playable character in Resident Evil Requiem. There’s no information available about any additional characters yet. However, Dusk Golem has confirmed on several occasions that Leon will be one of the main characters in the game. A new character named Alyssa Ashcroft has been mentioned, who happens to be Grace’s mother. Interestingly, Alyssa is speculated to be the giant woman monster seen following Grace in the trailer, though this has not been officially confirmed.
Just as usual, the details here are not verified by an authoritative body, so please approach them cautiously.
