Resident Evil Requiem Will Run At 4K60 On PS5 Pro

Resident Evil: Requiem comes out on February 27th, and Capcom has shared details about the experience for players using PlayStation consoles.

Game director Akishi Nakanishi recently shared details on the Japanese PlayStation Blog about how Resident Evil Requiem will perform on the PlayStation 5 Pro.

PS5 Pro Gets An Optimized Experience

According to Nakanishi, the PS5 Pro will let players choose whether or not to use ray tracing. When ray tracing is enabled, gamers can expect to play Resident Evil Requiem in 4K resolution at a smooth 60 frames per second.

If your monitor can display higher frame rates, you’ll be able to play at up to 120 FPS. The game is expected to run at an average of 90 FPS.

What Is Resident Evil Requiem?

Resident Evil Requiem is the ninth major installment in the popular Resident Evil horror series. The story centers around FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft, who investigates a series of unusual deaths at the Wrenwood Hotel in Raccoon City. This hotel holds a personal connection for Grace, as it’s where her mother, Alyssa Ashcroft, died eight years earlier.

The game also features the return of Leon Kennedy, investigating cases connected to scientist Victor Gideon. The story takes place about 30 years after the events of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis.

The game releases on February 27 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC.
