Resident Evil Survival Unit Beginner Guide

Resident Evil: Survival Unit lets players return to the terrifying Raccoon City and lead a team of well-known characters from the Resident Evil series. It’s a unique blend of strategy and RPG gameplay designed for mobile, though mastering all the features can take some effort.

This guide offers essential tips for new players of this mobile game. It covers everything from managing resources and currencies to combat strategies, helping you survive the T-Virus outbreak in Raccoon City from a unique viewpoint and avoid common pitfalls.

Use All Your Free Daily Draws

Okay, so every day I get five free tries to recruit new units at my Helipad. I can use Blue Flare Guns to do this, and it’s basically a gacha system for Resident Evil Survival Unit. What I get is random, but it could be anything from Speed Up boosters to Character Files – those are what you need to unlock new characters – or even fully unlocked characters themselves! It’s all about luck, really.

If you get characters you already have, they’ll automatically turn into resources used to improve your Heroes’ Star levels, which significantly increases their power. Also, you can only do a free daily draw every 5 minutes, so you’ll need to play for at least 25 minutes each day (or visit the game 5 times with 5 minutes between each visit) to claim all your free draws.

Prioritize Leveling Up Higher Tier Characters

In RE: Survival Unit, resources are limited, so it’s a bad idea to spend them on upgrading weaker (Blue Tier) characters. This will likely cause problems later and ultimately make your team less effective. Instead, focus all your efforts on improving your strongest characters – those with Epic or Legendary (Purple and Yellow) ratings.

Whether you’re leveling up characters or earning Hero Stars, every improvement boosts your Survivor’s Combat Power – and that’s essential for overcoming the game’s challenges. You can also get valuable Skill Boosts and Character Files by sending specific Heroes on Exploration and Radar Missions, helping them become even stronger.

Turn The Auto-Rally Feature On

When players join an Alliance, they can take part in team activities like Raids and Rallies, where they defend their Alliance’s buildings and territory. If the Auto-Rally feature is turned on, their troops will automatically join these battles even when the player isn’t online.

It’s essential to turn this on so you don’t miss out on points earned through the game’s social events, and to encourage full cooperation within your Alliance for optimal performance.

Check The Troops’ Status Often To Detect Infected

As players train troops in their Barracks and Garages, their overall strength will significantly increase, allowing them to build an army for Radar Missions. These missions are a key part of the game and provide valuable resources that players can use to improve their bases and characters.

Even though your troops might win battles, some will likely get hurt. You can heal them at the Hospital in your base, but there’s a risk of infection, which can quickly become a serious problem. Ignoring injured troops can hurt morale, and infected soldiers can spread the illness to others. Keep a close watch on your troops’ health to prevent complications.

Don’t Waste Precious Resources In Speeding Up The Wrong Actions

In Resident Evil Survivor Unit, Diamonds and Speed Boosters are the hardest currencies to get and the most helpful. It’s a waste to use Diamonds to speed things up, especially if you already have Speed Boosters. Even worse, using either Diamonds or Speed Boosters to quickly complete things like Radar Missions will severely limit your ability to save these valuable items for when you really need them.

Research Speed Ups are valuable and hard to come by – you can mainly get them with Diamonds or through Event rewards. Don’t use them on just any research! Focus on upgrades that will significantly improve your base.
