Battlefield 6 launched yesterday, but some PC players are running into problems with the EA App, the platform used to start the game. The app is preventing some users from playing and displaying an error message, which has caused embarrassment for EA’s leaders.
Respawn Entertainment’s CEO, Vince Zampella, publicly voiced his dissatisfaction with the EA App on social media. He encouraged players experiencing issues to request a refund and buy the game on Steam, where it runs more reliably.
Vince Zampella Bags on the App His Owner Created
Respawn Entertainment, a studio owned by Electronic Arts, hasn’t stopped its CEO, Vince Zampella, from publicly criticizing the EA App on social media.
In a post responding to a communication about the rampant EA App issues, Zampella wrote:
I have yelled about ea app people. Any suggestions on next levels of escalation?
Zampella revealed in the post’s comments that he’s been playing the game on Steam and encouraged others to do so as well. When a player mentioned having problems, Zampella suggested they try getting a refund through the EA App and then purchasing the game on Steam.
He also confirmed that other platforms, like Xbox, aren’t having these issues whatsoever.
When one user demanded that Zampella ‘yell at Andrew Wilson’ (EA’s CEO), Zampella said:
It’s not his fault, he’s just as upset as me
Just a few hours ago, the EA App seemed to be working normally again for everyone, resolving the previous problems. This was the situation when this information was published.
