Respawn Has Seemingly Canceled Its Unannounced FPS Multiplayer Game

It’s been announced that an unexpected first-person shooter multiplayer game, which was being developed at Respawn Entertainment, has been called off. This information was shared by a former production coordinator at the studio named Emilee Evans.

On LinkedIn, on Wednesday, Evans disclosed that the “project under development” she contributed to has been terminated.

Evans mentioned that the surprise project he’s been working on for a year got terminated this week. Now, he’s looking to join an impressive and welcoming team within the gaming sector who are also seeking fresh opportunities.

According to previous job listings, it appears that the “Incubation Project” might have been intended to be a first-person shooter game with multiplayer capabilities. However, specific details regarding the game’s theme, setting, and other aspects are still kept under wraps.

The termination of the upcoming game from Respawn is coincident with the termination of their Star Wars Mandalorian game, which occurred in early 2024. This cancellation was a part of Electronic Arts’ restructuring plan that resulted in a reduction of 5% of its workforce.
