Reveal Your True Style: Secret to Hiding Helmets in Monster Hunter Wilds

It’s crucial to conceal your helmet when playing Monster Hunter Wilds, particularly for those who’ve invested significant time in designing their ideal character. This is because Wilds boasts some of the most extensive character personalization options that the series has offered since World.

In contrast to other Monster Hunter games, Wilds places significant importance on its narrative, a point highlighted in our favorable review. A key aspect of this story is the fully-voiced Hunters, an addition that allows players’ avatars to engage with characters such as Gemma and Alma through dialogue.

From my gaming perspective, you wouldn’t want to sport the bizarre Rompopolo helmet in cutscenes, right? Whether you’re a style-conscious gamer who loves to flaunt your facial features or someone who prefers layering their armor, this feature is indispensable. It allows for customization that suits your unique gaming persona!

How to hide your helmet & armor pieces

1 of 3

In Monster Hunter Wilds, if you want to conceal your helmet and other armor parts, here’s what you should do:

Stow away your helmet and armor components as follows:

  1. Head over to your tent. Either at any of the game’s base camps or pop-up camps.
  2. Scroll across to the Appearance Menu (far right).
  3. Select Equipment Appearance.
  4. Choose all the pieces of armor you wish to hide on your Hunter.

It’s worth mentioning that you have the option to alter the color of your armor pieces right here in this menu. This feature is quite beneficial for fashion-conscious players, as they can ensure they look stylish even before they set out to defeat an unfortunate monster.

You can also customize your character with layered armor pieces from this menu. If the recent Chatacabra or Arkveld armor doesn’t suit your taste, feel free to mix and match other layered armor pieces to improve their appearance.
