It was recently revealed that Arcane set a record as the most expensive animated television series ever, coming in at a whopping $250 million for just two seasons. It has been a roaring success, though – and fans are lapping up the content, especially now that the League of Legends World Championship has wrapped up.

Without a doubt, Arcane showcases exceptional animation skills and has garnered widespread acclaim from fans globally. Interestingly, even though the third season of Arcane has been called off, one of Riot Games‘ co-founders, Marc Merrill, hinted on Twitter that more animated shows from Riot Games are yet to come.

In a straightforward tweet, Marc Merrill disclosed that there are numerous additional tales yet to be shared. This came in response to an inquiry about why there won’t be further seasons of Arcane.

Just a few short weeks ago, Merrill stood behind the budget that Riot Games spent during the creation of Arcane’s first and second seasons.

We’re quite pleased with the expense incurred, as we believe it justified the quality of the performance that our players experienced.

For over ten years, League of Legends has stood as one of the most legendary and richly-told games ever made. Its dedicated fanbase continually supports it, with countless individuals eager to consume any multimedia content that Riot Games puts out.

It seems there might be financial adjustments ahead, given Riot Games’ substantial investment of $250 million in producing 18 episodes for a show. With some cost-cutting measures, we may see more substantial outcomes – let’s wait and see!
