The ‘With a View’ quest is a new addition to ARC Raiders with the Headwinds update. Shani tasks players with locating a Rotary Encoder and flipping a server switch in Stella Montis. After that, you’ll need to find an Ion Sputter and return it to her. The good news is you can complete these objectives over multiple sessions, making the quest easier to finish.

How to Get a Rotary Encoder in ARC Raiders (With a View Quest)

The “With a View” quest in ARC Raiders has objectives split into two stages. First, players need to locate a Rotary Encoder. This item, often found during expeditions, is most commonly discovered in locations like the Medical Research facilities, Business Centers, and Assembly Workshops.

While exploring these areas, be sure to check the white drawers, cabinets, and drawers in the tool table. The Rotary Encoder is uncommon, so you likely won’t find many on any single search.

Make sure to quickly store it inside your Safe Pocket when you find it.

Control Room Location Near Assembly Line in ARC Raiders (With a View Quest)

Okay, so I finally got a Rotary Encoder, and now the ‘With a View’ quest wants me to check out one of the control rooms near where everything’s being assembled. The map showed me where to go, and it led me to a control room right in the middle of the Assembly area. Seems like that’s where I need to be!

Go to the top of the control room. While carrying the Rotary Encoder, use the yellow switch located to the left of the windows.

With the main console now on, press the button to turn on the server switch and finish the first step of the ‘With a View’ quest in ARC Raiders.

How to Get the Ion Sputter in ARC Raiders (With a View Quest)

After finishing the initial goals for the “With a View” quest in ARC Raiders, you’ll need to locate an Ion Sputter for Shani. A good place to find a high-quality (Epic) Ion Sputter is in the Assembly and Assembly Workshops districts of Stella Montis.

You’ll likely find other players in this area, and they might be friendly or hostile depending on the game lobby. If no one has searched it yet, focus on checking the drawers of the white, yellow, and red tool tables. You’ll find these tables both inside and outside the buildings in Assembly and Assembly Workshops.

Okay, so if you’re looking for an Ion Sputter, I’ve heard the offices around the Assembly Workshops are a good place to check – make sure to search both floors! I’ve also found that jumping into a Stella Montis Night Raid really boosts your chances of finding one, but be warned – you’ll probably run into some tough enemies while you’re in there.

After you locate an Ion Sputter, return to Speranza and give it to Shani. You’ll be rewarded with 5 Steel Springs, 5 Wires, and a Tactical MK.2 augment for finishing the ‘With a View’ quest in ARC Raiders.
