Rumor: 5 Beloved LEGO Games May Be Getting Switch 2 Versions

Recent promotional materials from Zurich Pop Con suggest that five popular LEGO games could be upgraded for the upcoming Switch 2. These potential upgrades would include games released over the past five years, starting with the original LEGO game on the Switch.

I just got back from Zurich Pop Con, which is this awesome Swiss convention for all things gaming, anime, manga, cosplay, and basically all things pop culture! It started on Saturday, September 27th, and this year was especially cool because a bunch of publishers were showing off their new games – even some stuff for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2! It was a great time checking out what’s coming next.

Multiple LEGO Games Spotted Under Switch 2 Branding at Zurich Pop Con

Recent photos from the convention show a display featuring five LEGO games that are currently available on the original Nintendo Switch, likely to coincide with the upcoming Switch 2 release. The games included are LEGO City Undercover, LEGO DC Super-Villains, LEGO Harry Potter Collection, LEGO Jurassic World, and the highly-rated LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga.

Nintendo Switch LEGO Games Possibly Getting Switch 2 Upgrades

  • LEGO City Undercover (2017)
  • LEGO DC Super-Villains (2018)
  • LEGO Harry Potter Collection (2018)
  • LEGO Jurassic World (2019)
  • LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga (2022)

Currently, none of these game titles have been officially announced as upgrades for the new Nintendo Switch 2. However, because a promotional banner featuring these games appeared recently, an official announcement seems likely to happen soon. It’s unclear whether these upgraded versions will be free or cost extra. Nintendo has released several upgraded versions of their Switch games that players have to pay for. While most other game companies haven’t done this, a few have started to, like with recent releases of *Sid Meier’s Civilization 7* and *Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar*.

If Nintendo releases upgraded versions of LEGO games for the Switch 2, they could feature better graphics and smoother gameplay. Many fans are especially hoping to see an updated version of *LEGO City Undercover*, as they’ve been requesting it for a while. This game was the first LEGO title on the Switch, but it doesn’t run very well, especially when playing with another person. The Switch 2’s more powerful hardware would be a great way to fix these issues and make the game run much better.

The newest LEGO game, LEGO Voyagers, came out on September 15th for Nintendo consoles. This game is different from previous LEGO titles because it was created by Light Brick Studios, not TT Games. Instead of an action-adventure, LEGO Voyagers focuses on cooperative puzzle-platforming. It’s available on both the Nintendo Switch and the new Switch 2. While a dedicated Switch 2 version exists, players on the original Switch can access the same upgrades simply by playing the game on the newer console.
