When the beta version of the game launched for everyone, EA announced it was the most popular beta in the history of the *Battlefield* series, with over 473,000 people playing at the same time on Steam. Most players enjoyed the experience, but many reported bugs and issues. EA quickly responded, promising changes based on this feedback before the game officially releases. These changes will include adjustments to weapons, how players move, and even redesigns of some maps. With the full game less than a month away, people are starting to talk about one of its most exciting features.
Battlefield 6’s Free-to-Play Battle Royale Mode May Release Around October 28
According to a recent tweet from CharlieIntel, the Battle Royale mode for *Battlefield 6* could be released around October 28th. This free-to-play mode is set to be different from other Battle Royale games, with developers promising a particularly dangerous closing circle that will instantly eliminate players who touch it. The game will also feature environments that can be completely destroyed, a large map to explore, vehicles, and support matches with up to 100 players. We can expect more official information in the next few weeks.
Battlefield Studios announced this month that the next Battlefield game will let players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S play together, even if they only use consoles. While the game includes Javelin, an anti-cheat system, some cheaters still manage to get through. However, console players will have an easy way to prevent these cheaters from joining their games, even with crossplay enabled.
If you’re excited about the new *Battlefield 6* first-person shooter, be sure to tune in to Tokyo Game Show 2025 on September 26th. EA has announced they’ll be showcasing the game, including details about its single-player story. Fans will also get to see and hear the English voice actors live at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba, Japan.
