According to reliable reports, it seems that EA might not introduce a Battle Royale mode with the initial release of Battlefield 6. Instead, they are planning to launch this feature some months after the base game has been out. Although there’s been much speculation about a possible Battle Royale mode for Battlefield 6, the latest indications suggest that fans might need to wait until early next year to get their hands on it, as development is still ongoing.
Some fortunate “Battlefield” enthusiasts have been getting a sneak peek at the upcoming installment in the series through closed playtests throughout the year, while others who didn’t get that chance were granted their first glimpse of “Battlefield 6” with an official unveiling trailer on July 24. The trailer primarily showcased the shooter’s single-player mode, featuring intense firefights, explosions, and more. Those eager to catch a glimpse of even more from the next “Battlefield” game will have to wait until July 31, as EA has announced that a multiplayer reveal for “Battlefield 6” will occur on that date.
It’s not unexpected to hear whispers that Battlefield 6, with its popularity surge, might include a Battle Royale mode. But it seems this game could be mimicking Call of Duty by possibly releasing the Battle Royale mode only months after the main game is out. As reported by streamer RivaLxfactor, who claims to have two reliable sources, the mode will likely be free-to-play. However, there’s a chance it won’t appear until several months following the base game launch. The streamer added that plans can still shift before its release.
Battlefield 6’s Battle Royale Mode May Come ‘Months After’ Release

The company Electronic Arts (EA) hasn’t officially announced the release date for the next installment in the series, but there are whispers suggesting that “Battlefield 6” may debut in October. If these whispers hold true, it seems that the game’s Battle Royale mode might not become accessible until the holiday season or even early 2022. It’s worth noting that this isn’t unprecedented; the battle royale mode for “Call of Duty: Warzone” didn’t appear until five months after the release of 2019’s “Modern Warfare.” Whether EA decides to delay releasing the Battle Royale mode in “Battlefield 6” due to marketing reasons or because it’s not ready yet, remains unclear.
Despite no official announcement of a Battle Royale mode, enthusiasts are already buzzing with excitement for the upcoming Battlefield title. In mere an hour following its debut, the teaser trailer for what’s being called Battlefield 6 garnered more likes than Black Ops 7, which has been accessible online for over a month. Yesterday’s trailer amassed close to 200,000 likes in its opening hour, while the initial trailer for the next Call of Duty game has gathered only 140,000 likes over more than a month.
