Rumor: Bloober Team Hints at 2 More Versions of Silent Hill 2 Remake

The website for the *Silent Hill 2* remake seems to suggest that two additional games in the series might be under development. This news comes just before the remake is no longer exclusive to certain consoles.

October 8th marks one year since Bloober Team’s remake of *Silent Hill 2* received positive reviews. The game was announced in late 2022 and was always planned to be available on PlayStation 5 for a limited time before potentially coming to other platforms.

Silent Hill 2 Remake Website May Hint at New Game Versions

Game Rant confirmed some unusual design elements on the *Silent Hill 2* website. Anyone can check for themselves by using the developer tools in a modern web browser and inspecting the page’s code. According to archived data reviewed by Game Rant, these elements – a four-column layout – weren’t recently added. Surprisingly, the original version of the site, which launched shortly after the *Silent Hill 2* remake was announced in late 2022 and revealed its initial PS5 exclusivity, already included these extra columns, but they hadn’t been noticed until now.

Silent Hill 2 Remake May Be the Series’ Final Timed Console Exclusive in a While

While Konami hasn’t officially announced the game for consoles other than PlayStation 5, they’ve stated the deal with Sony only lasts a year. This suggests they plan to release it on other platforms later. Konami has recently been moving away from exclusive releases, as seen with *Silent Hill f* launching on multiple platforms in September 2025. This means the *Silent Hill 2* remake might be the last timed exclusive for the series for some time. We could hear about versions for other consoles as soon as October 8, 2025, when the PlayStation 5 exclusivity period ends.

In addition to the previously announced projects, two more Silent Hill games are in development: *Silent Hill: Townfall* by Screen Burn, and a remake of the original *Silent Hill* by Bloober Team. The platforms these games will be available on haven’t been announced yet. *Townfall* is anticipated to be released first, potentially as early as late 2026, as development began in 2021, but there’s no confirmed release date at this time.
