Even though Resident Evil Requiem isn’t out until February 27th, recent leaks suggest Capcom might release a Deluxe Edition with extra cosmetic items. These items include outfits for the main character, Grace Ashcroft, inspired by previous Resident Evil games, plus unique weapon skins and other collectibles for players.
Capcom has announced that the new Resident Evil Requiem game will return to the iconic city of Raccoon City, a key setting in many of the Resident Evil stories. Players will experience the game through the eyes of Grace Ashcroft as she investigates her mother’s murder, and they’ll be able to switch between first-person and third-person viewpoints. Although fans are hoping to see Leon Kennedy, a popular character from the series, Capcom has so far only revealed details about Grace’s storyline.
While reports about Resident Evil Requiem should be viewed cautiously, details about a potential Deluxe Edition are exciting for fans. According to a Twitter user named SpookyHoo, this edition will include cosmetic items for players. One highlight is a costume for the character Grace inspired by Lady Dimitrescu from Resident Evil Village – though Grace keeps her signature blonde hairstyle while wearing it. The Deluxe Edition also features a unique “Apocalypse” skin for the S&S M232 handgun and a special screen filter. Additional bonuses include a Mr. Raccoon Charm, an audio pack, and files referencing the Raccoon City incident and its aftermath.
Rumored Resident Evil Requiem Deluxe Edition Content
- Main Game
- Five Costumes for Grace (including Lady Dimitrescu)
- Four Weapon Skins
- Two Screen Filters
- Two Charms (including Mr. Raccoon Charm)
- Audio Pack: Raccoon City Classic
- Files: Letters from 1998
Recent leaks on Twitter have revealed the box art for both the Deluxe and Standard Editions of Resident Evil Requiem, showing the damaged Raccoon City Police Department building. The game is expected to launch on February 27th for both the PlayStation 5 and the new Switch 2, alongside releases of Resident Evil Village and Resident Evil 7: Biohazard. On the Switch 2, physical copies of Resident Evil Requiem will be sold as Game-Key Cards, and a digital version will also be available.
So, with the rumors that Umbrella Corp is coming back in Resident Evil Requiem, it makes total sense that the Deluxe Edition is throwing back to the older games. But honestly, Capcom isn’t giving us much else to go on about Requiem right now – they’re keeping most details under wraps!
