Rumors Circulate That Days Gone Is Getting PS5 Remaster

As a seasoned gamer with over two decades under my belt, I can’t help but feel a twinge of excitement at the potential return of Days Gone to our screens, this time on the mighty PlayStation 5. The prospect of roaming the apocalyptic Oregon countryside once more on Deacon St. John’s trusty motorcycle, facing hordes of Freakers and navigating the complex relationships with other survivors, is a tantalizing one indeed.

It’s not Days Gone 2, but the franchise could be making its way to PlayStation 5 (PS5) anyway.

There’s chatter about an imminent State of Play event by PlayStation, and it seems likely they’ll announce remasters among other things. According to a tweet by Jordan Middler, it looks like Days Gone could be one of the games unveiled.

If he’s upset about being portrayed in Astro Bot, he’ll be absolutely flustered by this,” Middler commented in response to a post implying a less thrilling remaster than the rumored Horizon Zero Dawn is on its way.

Later on, it appeared as if he was reinforcing his stance when responding to a remark about Sony not investing in updating a 2019 game that had approximately 9 million sales.

In case you haven’t been following the news closely, just a few weeks ago, video game writer and director John Garvin publicly criticized developer Bend Studio on social media. This criticism stemmed from the fact that the main character Deacon St. John was included in the recently released Astro Bot, which is unusual given their different game worlds.

It’s a bit disappointing to see Deek, or Deacon St. John, more focused on advertising other games… Kudos to Bend Studio for safeguarding their reputation!

It’s worth noting that nothing about a Days Gone remaster for PS5 has been confirmed, nor has TopMob been able to independently verify the information. Until that comes, please take this rumor, like others, with a grain of salt.
