If you’ve picked archer as your character class, the quality of your bow matters most. The Crystal Bow, a Tier 3 Bow with unique special features and superior stats, is one to look out for. Here’s how to get it.

How to Get Crystal Bow in RuneScape: Dragonwilds

In the Fractured Plains, which lies north of the Whispering Swamp, you can acquire The Crystal Bow by finishing the Heartstrings quest. This mission requires locating seven massive trees imbued with anima across the Fractured Plains. Here’s a simplified guide on how to initiate this quest:

1. Navigate to the Fractured Plains region.
2. Look for seven large anima-infused trees in the area.
3. Interact with each tree in the specified order to start the Heartstrings quest.
4. Complete the tasks assigned in the quest to get The Crystal Bow as your reward.

    Head to the Fractured Plains Vault location. The Vault door will be hidden behind a breakable stone boulder guarded by some Garou Hunters (bow-wielding enemies).

    Look for grooves in the cliff wall to the right of the Vault Cave’s entrance.

  1. Use Windstep to jump on top of these grooves (as shown above) in order to reach the top.
  2. Defeat the enemies here and proceed to the marked location to find a huge tree with brown and white bark, and a gravestone inlaid with glowing runic carvings.
  3. Interact with the gravestone to start the Heartstrings quest.

All Heartstrings Tree Locations in RuneScape: Dragonwilds

As I, the intrepid gamer, traverse this enchanting world, my quest is to uncover the hidden seven trees for the Heartstrings mission. Once found, I’ll be rewarded with the magnificent Crystal Bow – a weapon that promises to elevate my gaming prowess!

In the Heartstrings quest, you’ll find Anima-enriched Bark at the bases of every tree. This special bark can be transformed into Anima, a valuable resource for crafting purposes.

Tree #1 Location

You’ll find the special tree, which sets off the Heartstrings quest, as previously detailed. That’s where you should head to begin your adventure.

Tree #2 Location

The tree you’re looking for is situated to the east of the initial tree, but to reach it, you need to go around the ravine and descend using Windstep. The best spot to leap off is at the southeastern edge, marked by wooden beams resembling scaffolding on the cliff wall. From this point, move south, then east, and finally north to locate the tree.

Transform Rock Bursts onto any Tin or Copper Mineral Veins you encounter during your journey. You’ll need these resources to craft Bronze.

Tree #3 Location

Continue east from Tree #2, and you’ll easily encounter this tree guarded by a Garou Hunter.

Tree #4 Location

Just a little to the east of Tree #3, right next to a broken stone tower.

Tree #5 Location

To your southeast, there’s a vast Garou encampment centered around tree number 4, fortified by massive stone walls. Proceed with caution, as the Druid among them has the power to boost the fighting abilities of fellow Garou warriors.

Tree #6 Location

Directly north of Tree #5. Take the road heading north, and you won’t miss it.

Tree #7 Location

To the north of Tree Number Six, beyond the deep ravine, there’s a way to proceed. You can either traverse the ravine by walking on a fallen and partially broken log serving as a temporary bridge or employ Windstep. However, be aware that a sizable Garou pack is stationed at this spot.

If you find yourself frequently battling with Garou foes and having to trek long distances to return, consider setting up a Fast Travel spot close by to save you from tiring journeys.

Following my encounter with that last tree, I decided to invoke the bard’s melodious ballad of remembrance. This action wrapped up the Heartstrings quest, and in return, I received a fully assembled Crystal Bow, along with the recipe for crafting more. Now, I can fashion additional Crystal Bows at my Smithing Anvil whenever I desire.
