July Update Unveiled for ‘RuneScape: Dragonwilds’ – A Spinoff Survival Game From the Beloved MMORPG”
The developers of RuneScape, in a surprise move earlier this year, announced ‘RuneScape: Dragonwilds’, a spin-off from the much-loved MMORPG, introducing a survival twist to the game. This new announcement is for July 2025, revealing a host of fixes for the recently released ‘Dragonwilds’.
The update brings several improvements to the Jagex survival game, RuneScape: Dragonwilds, which has been captivating players with its robust magic system and iconic skills borrowed from RuneScape. These elements, along with many others, have kept fans of the more than 20-year-old RPG engaged and excited about the new spinoff game.
Ever since “RuneScape: Dragonwilds” launched in mid-April, developer Jagex has consistently released updates for it every month. Each monthly update introduces a range of enhancements and bug corrections for the game. The “It’s a Bit of Magic” update in June officially integrated the Magic skill into the game, along with the introduction of a Hardcore mode for “Dragonwilds”. Now, Jagex is unveiling the latest update for “RuneScape: Dragonwilds”, which encompasses changes from simplifying item pick-up to addressing numerous bugs.
On Tuesday, Jagex officially unveiled the 0.8.2 update for RuneScape: Dragonwilds. This update brings a multitude of corrections, one significant one being an improvement in picking up items from the ground within Dragonwilds, as the clickboxes for dropped items are now “taller and more expansive.” The update also incorporates a change requested by the community regarding the interiors of Velgar’s scorn, specifically addressing issues with Dragonbreath and Meteors now being correctly blocked by caverns. Additionally, this update addresses seven distinct bugs, dealing with problems such as the game clock widget displaying nighttime accurately, introducing new cooking pairings, and making certain terrain adjustments.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds Pushes July 2025 Update
In my gaming world, it feels like the latest update for RuneScape: Dragonwilds is a bit smaller than some of the epic overhauls we’ve seen before, mainly focusing on tweaks and fixes this time around. From what I gathered from a survey by Jagex, there might be a new type of map in the pipeline, one that could accommodate both thrilling PvP battles and massive group PvE adventures. The same survey also hinted at the possibility of community-led servers for RuneScape: Dragonwilds, where server owners could potentially shape their own realms, customizing various aspects to suit their fellow gamers!
The launch of “RuneScape: Dragonwilds,” a spinoff from the popular game “RuneScape,” was a huge success for Jagex. Within just two weeks after its April debut, “Dragonwilds” had sold an impressive 600,000 copies of the survival game and even reached the #1 spot on Steam’s Top Seller list. The game has already garnered a dedicated community, with players creating numerous improvements and even developing a tool to share “Dragonwilds” worlds among friends. Jagex is continuing to support the newest addition to the RuneScape universe, aiming to sustain its initial strong performance.
