Ryan Hurst Comments on Playing Kratos in Prime Video’s God of War

Ryan Hurst, known for his role in Sons of Anarchy, has spoken about how he felt when he was cast as Kratos in the upcoming God of War series on Prime Video.

Ryan Hurst, best known for his role as Opie Winston in Sons of Anarchy, has been confirmed to play Kratos in the new series. He previously worked on the project, providing the voice for Thor in God of War Ragnarok.

Hurst shared on Instagram that he loved playing Kratos in the games and was thankful for the chance to portray the character with an axe in a live-action setting.

I used to admire this character, and now I have the incredible opportunity to play him. I’m so thankful to wield the iconic weapon and deeply honored by the fans who turned this story into a legend.

More Information About the Forthcoming God of War Series on Prime Video

Amazon has shown strong confidence in the show by ordering a second season even before filming has begun. Production is slated to start in February, and Frederick E.O. Toye, the director of the Fallout TV series, will direct the first two episodes. Actress Teresa Palmer is confirmed to play Sif, the wife of Thor. However, details about when the show takes place in relation to other stories and how it connects to existing storylines are still unknown.
