The video game series Ryu Ga Gotoku, particularly the Yakuza/Like a Dragon series, has enjoyed considerable success lately, with a steady stream of new releases. Although it didn’t gain significant popularity in the West until recently, this year marked the launch of Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, which was well-received. As of now, no upcoming game has been announced, so fans are eagerly awaiting any news at the upcoming TGS event.

One day before the festivities at TGS 2025 kick off, SEGA will stage a fresh RGG Summit at 12 pm Japan Standard Time. To watch this event in your local time zone, click here. Afterward, there will be an RGG Direct that delves further into the announcements. While specifics about what will be announced are not yet known, given that Ryu Ga Gotoku has several projects underway, we might gain some insights.
Among the studio’s most anticipated forthcoming ventures is Stranger Than Heaven, featuring gameplay reminiscent of Yakuza with state-of-the-art visuals.
It’s possible that the next Yakuza/Like a Dragon game could be announced during the event. Previously, we’ve seen games like Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and Like a Dragon: Ishin! revealed.
