S1mple’s First Match Back is a 0 – 2 Loss, But He Doesn’t Mind

As a seasoned gamer with years of esports under my belt, I can’t help but feel a sense of anticipation as I watch s1mple make his comeback at the Thunderpick World Championship. The Ukrainian legend has always been a force to reckon with in Counter-Strike 2, and while it’s disappointing to see him lose his first match against 3DMAX, I know better than most that even the greatest players have their off days.

Right now, the Thunderpick World Championship is underway in the gaming world of Counter-Strike 2, and it’s significant because Oleksandr ‘s1mple’ Kostyliev is making his comeback. After being away for a long time, this Ukrainian superstar has reentered the esports world, but unfortunately, his first game back ended in defeat against 3DMAX.

This was s1mple’s first pro match in more than ten months, so it’s understandable that he’ll have a brief adjustment period before he’s back in the saddle. Fans of the 27-year-old competitor remain hopeful, though. It’s not like he’s playing badly – he secured an ADR of 125 and picked up a KD of 27 – 16 in that opening series.

The Thunderpick World Championship commenced today and will continue until November 3rd. A total of $850,000 is up for grabs, with 16 top-notch CS2 teams from around the globe competing fiercely to claim a significant portion – an impressive $500,000.

In the previous year, it was FaZe Clan who emerged victorious in the tournament, with Virtus.pro securing the runner-up position. This triumph came during a period when FaZe Clan had embarked on an impressive winning spree. Over a span of merely three weeks, their team managed to clinch IEM Sydney, Thunderpick, and CS Asia Championships titles.
