The last trailer for the eagerly awaited anime version of Yuto Suzuki’s Sakamoto Days manga has unveiled the voice actors who will provide the English dub, before its debut. Starting January 11, the anime will be aired globally on Netflix, with fresh episodes released every Saturday.
The anime series “Sakamoto Days” is set to run for two seasons, with the second season airing in July.
In May 2024, it was officially announced that the anime adaptation of “Sakamoto Days” would be produced, following whispers about Netflix acquiring this upcoming anime title. The source material has received extremely positive feedback.

Sakamoto Days is based on Yuto Suzuki’s manga with the same title, which has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since November 2020. As of January 2025, it has been compiled into 20 volumes. This series is widely appreciated, with over 7 million copies in circulation. The narrative centers around Taro Sakamoto, a former legendary hitman who now leads a family life. However, his tranquil existence is disrupted as old enemies and colleagues reemerge, some seeking retribution. To shield his family, Sakamoto employs his extraordinary fighting skills to repel adversaries while preserving the illusion of normality in his new role as the married proprietor of a convenience store.
The 2019 anime “Fruits Basket” is created by TMS Entertainment’s team, with Masaki Watanabe, known for directing “Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero,” taking the directorial role. Taku Kishimoto, who worked on “Haikyuu!!”, handles the series composition, while Yō Moriyama (famous for Attack on Titan’s eyecatch design) designs the characters and Jin Aketagawa manages the sound design; Yuki Hayashi, the composer of “My Hero Academia,” provides the music.
