The second episode of Sakamoto Days flowed more smoothly than the first one. This installment primarily revolved around Sakamoto and Shin, who ventured to Niikita Chinatown in search of meat buns. Shin raised doubts about the long journey for such a simple snack. However, it was later revealed that the buns were intended for his wife and daughter. After buying the buns, their outing took an unexpected turn when a young girl named Lu Shaotang collided with Sakamoto, inadvertently squashing the meat buns completely before they could depart.

Prior to tackling the young woman, they found themselves enclosed by a group of suspicious men intending to seize her. One of the antagonists attempted to assault her, but she swiftly knocked him unconscious with just one strike. Unfortunately, she was overpowered, and the criminals opted to target her legs to impede her escape. It appeared as though the girl was about to sustain serious injuries, but Sakamoto stepped in at the opportune moment. The trio then defeated the remaining thugs and swiftly departed from the area.

Why Is Lu Shaotang Being Targeted?

It became known that Lu Shaotang was connected to a criminal organization, with the leader of Danshokai having previously eliminated Lu Shaotang’s parents for control over the black market. To achieve his ambition, he required the help of the girl. His usual associates had let him down, so he enlisted the aid of Son Hee and Bacho, who were eager to complete the assignment.

In another location, Shin was interrogating Lo Shaotang about the reason for her being pursued. The girl admitted they aimed to pilfer a key that belonged to her parents, which was essential to unlock a secret vault containing numerous treasures. Initially, Lo Shaotang wanted to part ways, but Sakamoto inquired if she knew how to make meat buns. She confirmed she had access to her father’s recipe, and that was enough for Sakamoto to persuade her to stay.

Vs. The Nefarious Brothers

In a confrontation, it was Sakamoto, Shin, and Lu Shaotang versus Son Hee and Bacho. The latter pair, skilled assassins, had admitted to murdering Lu Shaotang’s parents, a fact that significantly heightened the tension. Their confession alone was enough to intensify the situation. Son Hee and his brother were certain of their prowess, believing the battle would be swiftly resolved in their favor due to their self-assured abilities.

I hadn’t realized it at first, but it turned out that Sakamoto Taro was a formidable figure, capable of defeating entire gangs without relying on weapons like guns or swords. In the heat of the battle, he demonstrated his incredible physical prowess to Bacho. Amidst the fight, there was a sudden shift as a flashback unfolded, revealing how Sakamoto Taro renounced his old ways. Once the flashback concluded, Sakamoto, Shin, and Lu Shaotang brought the battle to an end.

Following this, they made their way to the spot of the safe, where they overcame the chairman. Later on, Lu Shaotang unlocked the safe and discovered that it held the relics bequeathed by the past family leaders. Upon exploring further, she stumbled upon a box accompanied by a message from her father.
