Samsung to Unveil AI-Powered TV Lineup at CES

At the heart of the tech world’s annual spectacle lies the Consumer Electronic Show (CES), where giants like Samsung unveil their game-changing innovations each new year. Peeking into the future, Game Rant has had a sneak peek at Samsung’s tech showcase for CES 2025, and let me tell you, their televisions have not disappointed. Although their offerings expand to larger sizes and 8K resolutions, it’s the QN series’ ingenious use of artificial intelligence that truly marks an evolution in their 2025 lineup.

Samsung’s QN Series of TV

The Samsung TV lineup, which includes models like the QN900F, QN800F, and QN700F, are equipped with NQ4 AI Gen 3 processors. These advanced processors enable an interactive viewing experience by recognizing filming locations, providing an actor’s filmography, suggesting recipes from displayed food in a show, and even helping users purchase the necessary ingredients. Additionally, these AI chips can enhance lower-definition content to match 4K resolution when displayed on the TV.

The Samsung QN90F will boast a model with an exceptionally large consumer screen, measuring 115 inches – one of the biggest on the market. Despite the larger size increasing pixel count, Samsung is employing its innovative AI technology to minimize any related fuzziness by using advanced upscaling techniques. The AI technology that Samsung has been developing over the years is particularly impressive, as it can effectively revamp old media. In a surprising twist, the dated aesthetic of early color television is now obsolete for Samsung’s AI-enhanced sets. These televisions are capable of transforming a show like M*A*S*H, making it appear as if it were filmed recently.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is now being used to create customized audio experiences. This AI technology, known as Vision AI, offers home security through the Knox Matrix service by encrypting data and monitoring for abrupt or unusual movements and sounds that could signal a crisis within the household. This feature will be accessible on screens with a gaming-optimized refresh rate of up to 165 times per second on their latest S95F model. The firm claims that integrating this AI technology with such high refresh rates will produce some of the most captivating and authentic visuals in the market.

Making a TV a Home Museum

As a film enthusiast, I can’t stress enough the significance of glare resistance in gaming and viewing experiences for me. Samsung has acknowledged this preference, stating that around 60% of users prioritize anti-glare properties. Consequently, they have dedicated considerable effort to minimizing reflectivity across their 2025 product range, aiming for the least reflective screens possible. This commitment is a testament to the foundation laid earlier with the S95D. The new S95F flagship television boasts an enhanced suite of anti-glare design elements, some of which have been refined and carried over to one of Samsung’s intriguing recent lines: The Frame.

The Frame’s unique characteristic lies in its appearance when switched off. Unlike most black screens that are common among digital devices, the Frame transforms into a piece of art when powered down by utilizing another Samsung feature. It draws inspiration from numerous museum galleries and countless works of art to display the user’s preferred artwork. The design is modeled after a chic, minimalist frame (hence its name), making it resemble a printed version of famous artwork, such as Van Gogh’s Starry Night, when not in use. Samsung claims that the Frame will deliver gallery-quality images within the home.

As a movie enthusiast, I can’t help but appreciate the unique blend of technology and aesthetics in Samsung’s Frame TV. It’s not just a TV that can be camouflaged as artwork; it boasts anti-glare features, a neo-qLED display for vivid visuals, a swift 144 Hz refresh rate for smooth motion, and colors validated by Pantone to match the authenticity of real paintings from Samsung’s collection. It’s worth mentioning that this impressive art collection isn’t confined to Frame TVs alone; it’s also available across a large portion of Samsung’s 2025 product lineup, offering a wider range of choices for those seeking the perfect blend of technology and art.

The sleek, wall-mountable style of this device could face challenges with cable organization. However, Samsung has eliminated this problem by not including any cables in the design itself. Instead, they offer a Wireless One Connect box that manages all the TV’s cables, ensuring a clean and wire-free viewing experience.

Collectively, the advancements Samsung has been developing over time make them a company worth keeping an eye on as CES commences on January 7th.
