Boruto: Swirling Twins (Two Blue Vortex)
The narrative of Boruto remains captivating, with readers sensing that the tale is gradually inching towards its grand finale, where the author will zero in on the impending destruction of the ninja realm. At present, however, the plot is set to revolve around the danger posed by the Shinju to our world, while simultaneously offering a glimpse into the eventual elimination of this menace.
As a bystander, I can’t help but notice the excitement among fans as they eagerly anticipate the reappearance of some iconic figures, including the esteemed Shinobi from Konohagakure, Sasuke Uchiha. It’s no secret to fans that Sasuke will play a significant part in the unfolding storyline of the Boruto series, and their eagerness is palpable as they eagerly await his actions. Remarkably, whispers suggest that Sasuke might soon ascend to the position of the 8th Hokage of Konoha.
Why Shikamaru Isn’t The True 8th Hokage
- Shikamaru Never Fully Accepted The Role
- Shikamaru Is Only A Provisional Figure
As the Two Blue Vortex series commenced, viewers anticipated a significantly transformed world of Boruto, given that it unfolded three years after Boruto: Naruto Next Generations. A major transformation presented to the audience was the introduction of a new Hokage. In the initial stages of Two Blue Vortex, it was revealed that Shikamaru Nara, who had previously served as Naruto’s top advisor, now held the position of the 8th Hokage.
I haven’t accepted the position officially yet! — Shikamaru Nara to the Daimyo
Although some people agreed with the choice of Shikamaru as Hokage, others believed he lacked the necessary qualities. Despite this, it became clear shortly after his appointment that Shikamaru hadn’t officially accepted the position as Hokage. As explained by the village elders, Shikamaru has been postponing taking on the role fully and for this reason, he remains the provisional Hokage to this day, even though it’s now been three years since he assumed control.
If Ikemoto had intended for Shikamaru to become the 8th Hokage, he wouldn’t have appointed him as the interim Hokage initially. It’s a fact that fans can agree on: Shikamaru will not join the ranks of the other Hokages with his face etched alongside theirs, and the position officially won’t be his.
How Sasuke Uchiha Could Become The 8th Hokage
Sasuke’s Return From The Clutches Of The Shinju Is Imminent
In regular situations, it would be Sasuke Uchiha who could fill Naruto’s role as Hokage when he’s not present. However, events at the end of Boruto Part 1 have complicated this significantly. This is due to Boruto Uzumaki managing to escape with Sasuke’s help, and because his daughter is involved, Sasuke chose to leave the village with him for training. If these circumstances were different, Sasuke would likely be the current Hokage of the village.
So in order to get them back, all we need to do is get the Thorn Soul Bulbs? — Sarada
Despite being transformed into a tree by the Claw Grimes, Sasuke’s powers were later utilized in the creation of Hidari, one of the strongest Shinju we’ve encountered so far in the story. For now, Sasuke is powerless, but that won’t always be the case. Fans are well aware that the downfall of the Shinju is imminent.
Or:
Transformed into a tree by the Claw Grimes, Sasuke’s powers were later employed in the creation of Hidari, one of the strongest Shinju we’ve seen yet in the story. Although Sasuke lacks power at present, this is only temporary. Fans are confident that the defeat of the Shinju is on the horizon.
Ryu and Matsuri are almost defeated, following which Kakwaki unleashes his maximum strength. This triggers Jura and Hidari into action immediately afterwards. It’s highly likely that Boruto and Sarada will join the impending fight, providing them with a significant chance to recall Sasuke.
Given that Hidari is weaker than Jura, the chances of Sasuke returning are very high at this point.
Sasuke’s Role As The Hokage In The Future
Sasuke Will Play A Major Role As A Leader
In the continuation of the Boruto series, it is predicted that Sasuke Uchiha will make a comeback, during which he may interact with Konoha. At this point, the full truth about the Omnipotence might already be revealed, but even if it isn’t, Sasuke addressing the village could potentially signal his return. If Konoha is still searching for a leader, there may not be a more suitable candidate than Sasuke Uchiha. Previously aspiring to become Hokage, Sasuke might finally have the opportunity to fulfill this dream, and fans anticipate that this development would significantly impact the narrative. Should he officially assume the role of the 8th Hokage, Sasuke would make history as the first Uchiha Hokage.
