Yuri And Saturn Embark On A New Journey Together

Satan Gives Up The Building

Earlier, I witnessed Satan reclaiming Section 13, transforming it into his fortress and capturing everyone within. Now, following his encounter with Yuri, he seems prepared to relinquish this stronghold, for he yearns to invest the remaining time in the company of the woman he cherishes. This installment skillfully delves into a more tender and vulnerable aspect of Satan’s character.

In a dramatic turn of events, Satan informs his offspring that he will be departing the dwelling. Lucifer, puzzled, queries him as to why he’s relinquishing the form he acquired. To this, Satan responds that he has discovered something far more valuable than a physical body. In the subsequent sequence, we witness Satan and Yuri cohabiting. During this period, Satan develops an unusually strong bond with Yuri, imploring her to remain by his side until his demise. The tender interactions between Yuri and Satan are skillfully portrayed in a way that despite Satan’s notorious cruelty, viewers find themselves captivated by their affectionate relationship.

After Yuri provides Satan with new clothes and a smart haircut, they proceed to depart from the building. Yet, during Yuri’s chat with her friend Jenny, an exorcist based at Section 13, their discussion was overheard and reported to the authorities. As soon as Yuri and Satan exit, they are encircled by various members of the True Order. Among the crowd, Yuri recognizes Shiro and requests that everyone, including him, allow them to leave.

Initially, I didn’t notice anything unusual, but then, quite unexpectedly, she began to feel incredibly sick and weak. Seizing the opportunity, the exorcists launched their assault against Satan. Yet, he was far too potent, effortlessly dissipating the bullets aimed at him. This provocation enraged Satan profoundly, and just as he prepared to threaten to annihilate everyone, his form crumbled, likely due to the immense power he was wielding. Yuri was escorted away by Shiro, while Satan was apprehended.

Yuri Gets Pregnant

In the following sequence, Mephisto informs the Leaders of the Order that the hostages have been saved and a decomposed corpse believed to be Satan’s has been discovered in the asylum. However, his revelation does not sway them, as some remain doubtful and unwilling to accept that Satan truly resided there.

Later on, Mephisto elaborates that he believes Satan deliberately focused on the Japanese division because of subpar exorcist Yuri Egin. He further asserts that Yuri is carrying Satan’s offspring, and there’s ample evidence to support this claim, such as the Cradle Barrier surrounding her, which appears when a woman is pregnant with a demonic child.

Later on, Shiro pays a visit to Yuri. She inquires about Satan’s whereabouts, to which Shiro reveals that he is indeed alive, but has been declared dead officially. He informs her that his body has significantly deteriorated and this decay has affected his brain, causing him to be immobile. This revelation has led the True Order to suspect Yuri, causing her concern for her unborn child. Seeing her distress upsets Shiro, prompting him to urge her to prioritize her own safety. He explains that once the Cradle Barrier vanishes, she will be in imminent danger.

Exorcising Rin

Subsequently, Mephisto engages in a conversation about various methods of expelling the child’s spirit. He further brings up the Koma sword, or Kurikara, a weapon with a strong connection to fire, having previously contained numerous fiery demons. However, Shiro interrupts and requests to be excluded from this undertaking.

Subsequently, Shiro acquires a type of weapon from a monk, intending to slay a demonic child. Meanwhile, doctors perform an ultrasound on Yuri and discover she’s carrying twins; the larger one takes more energy than the other. Yuri is severely weakened, with the doctor predicting that she might not live long enough to deliver them. Upon witnessing this, Rin becomes deeply saddened.

18 hours have passed since Yuri went into labor, and due to the Cradle Barrier, doctors can’t administer any medication to assist her. As the delivery time approaches, members of the True Order ready themselves for an exorcism, as they believe the twins are demon children. The Exorcism Music Ritual begins, and after much suffering, Yuri finally delivers. Child M, later identified as Rin, is marked as a child of Satan.

The demonic child has displayed much aggression and begins assaulting nearby exorcists. Unfortunately, Yuri, the unborn sibling, hasn’t made an appearance yet, leaving Rin in a weakened state. No one can halt the rampage of this demon-child against exorcists. The tumult caused by Rin during his childhood leaves Mephisto distraught. In moments when he’s at his most vulnerable, Rin yearns deeply for his younger brother, Yukio.

Final Thoughts

This episode moves at a slightly brisk pace, but it’s handled quite well, and the animation flows smoothly. Moreover, it leaves certain questions unanswered, sparking curiosity about what will happen next.

In the final scene, Yuri delivering her twins is quite distressing to behold. Her overwhelming joy and vitality seem to rob her of strength, leaving her precariously close to death. The babies’ life journey has merely started, and with this episode’s events, it’s evident that their path forward will be fraught with challenges.
