On November 4th, Coffee Stain Studios has revealed that the popular game, Satisfactory, is making its console debut. This marks a significant step in the history of the game, which has been under development for almost a decade. It’s likely that this isn’t the last we’ll hear about Satisfactory.
One of the most significant independent success stories in recent times, Coffee Stain Studios’ factory construction simulator first debuted during early access in March 2019. Nearly six years later, the complete version of Satisfactory was launched in September 2024. Around this period, Coffee Stain announced that they would be redirecting their development resources towards the console editions of the game.
Satisfactory Console Edition Gets a Release Date
The Swedish game studio has officially set a release date for the console versions of the game – November 4 is when they’ll go live. In addition to the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, the game titled Satisfactory will also be made available on Sony and Microsoft’s previous-gen consoles, despite the fact that both the PS4 and Xbox One are nearing their 12th birthday now. On the very same day, these console versions will debut alongside the game’s 1.1 update, providing the same content that PC gamers have been enjoying.

Satisfactory Console Ports Will Include Platform-Specific Features
The console editions of the factory management game coming soon will provide various platform-tailored features such as saving games temporarily. Specifically, the PlayStation 5 adaptation will leverage the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback and built-in speaker. Both consoles will support cloud saves and cross-play functionality starting from launch day. However, it’s important to note that PC users will not be able to play with console players at first, as the PC version will remain standalone for now.

In the style of contemporary video games like Satisfactory, various graphical settings are expected. These include Quality Mode aimed at a smoother experience with 60 frames per second (fps), Performance Mode designed for higher frame rates at around 30fps, and Balanced Mode, which offers a middle ground of 40fps. However, Coffee Stain Studios hasn’t confirmed if these modes will be consistent across all consoles; it’s possible that differences may arise due to hardware capabilities, particularly with last-generation systems potentially capped at 30fps due to performance limitations.
After exiting early access, the game “Satisfactory” has been updated with several minor revisions and the significant 1.1 update, released in June 2025. Despite not revealing specifics about the game’s future plans post console ports release, Coffee Stain Studios hasn’t suggested they’ll abandon working on “Satisfactory”. Given these circumstances, it’s probable that update 1.2 is forthcoming. In the interim, those eager for large-scale factory building on consoles might find the upcoming launch appealing, providing an opportunity to experience one of 2024’s top-rated games at long last.
