Say Goodbye to Jinwoo’s Strongest Ability in Solo Leveling Season 3

This article contains spoilers from the Solo Leveling manhwa.

Solo Leveling has become incredibly popular thanks to the inspiring journey of Sung Jinwoo, who goes from being the weakest to the strongest hunter alive. Fans love watching Jinwoo overcome adversity and transform from someone constantly let down by others into a powerful force capable of defeating any enemy.

Much of Sung Jinwoo’s strength comes from his power to summon and control shadows. Throughout most of the Solo Leveling series, he uses his Shadow Extraction ability to collect powerful shadows that help him conquer dungeons and battle enemies. But when Season 3 starts, Jinwoo will relearn how to fight effectively on his own, without needing to depend on his strongest shadows.

Jinwoo’s Strongest Ability Is Shadow Extraction

Summoning and Controlling Shadows Are Unique to Jinwoo

  • Jinwoo is the only necromancer in Solo Leveling.
  • Jinwoo’s power over the dead is far superior to any mage-class hunter.

I’m absolutely fascinated by Sung Jinwoo’s Shadow Extraction! It’s such a unique ability, specifically given to him – the system really favored him after he became a necromancer and then, even more impressively, a Shadow Monarch by completing that intense job-change quest. Honestly, by the end of Season 2, he was blowing past almost all the top-tier S-rank hunters in Korea thanks to this skill. It really highlights just how incredibly powerful he’s become!

What’s really special is that nobody else can copy Jinwoo’s ability to control shadows unless the system specifically lets another player gain the same power. Even top-level hunters like Thomas Andre and Goto Ryuji can’t manipulate shadows, meaning Jinwoo gets to enjoy all the advantages of this skill on his own. It’s a unique summoning power, unlike anything a typical necromancer or mage could do.

Jinwoo’s shadow extraction ability lets him transform defeated enemies into his soldiers. Though there are some limits to this power, he can generally summon shadows from opponents who were weaker than him in level.

Jinwoo’s Shadows Will Be Disabled in Solo Leveling Season 3

Jinwoo Will Fight Alone

  • Jinwoo vs. Kandiaru will happen in Solo Leveling Season 3.
  • Kandiaru can deactivate Jinwoo’s shadows.

Everyone agrees that Jinwoo is now Korea’s strongest hunter, proven by his victory over the Ant King on Jeju Island. He completely overwhelmed the battle using his shadow army, destroying all the mutated ants, including the King. Without the help of his shadows, it would have been nearly impossible for Jinwoo to win, and he wouldn’t have been able to protect his teammates, like Cha Hae-In, on his own.

Fans are eagerly anticipating Season 3 of Solo Leveling, and it promises to be a thrilling new chapter. A key element will be Jinwoo temporarily losing access to his shadow army. According to the original webcomic, Kandiaru—the creator of the system that helped Jinwoo become so powerful—can easily dismiss the shadows. This will create a significant challenge for Jinwoo, even with all the combat skills he developed in the first two seasons.

If I relied too much on my summons, my skills would become rusty.—Sung Jinwoo

Now that Kandiaru had eliminated Jinwoo’s shadow army, Jinwoo was forced to fight on his own to survive and rebuild it. But this wouldn’t be easy, as his opponent wasn’t a normal human – it was a powerful demon determined to destroy him completely.

Solo Leveling Season 3 Will Be a Tough Season for Jinwoo

In Season 3 of Solo Leveling, Jinwoo will face a major challenge when battling Kandiaru without his shadow army. He’ll have to become more powerful during the fight itself, and quickly learn how Kandiaru operates. He can’t depend on his shadows for defense or assistance, and his shadow abilities will likely be weaker, making victory much harder to achieve.

I’ve been following Solo Leveling, and it looks like Jinwoo’s about to face even bigger challenges in Season 3. It’s not just Kandiaru he’ll have to worry about; I’ve noticed several characters, both familiar and new, are keeping a close eye on him. They seem to be deciding whether he’s someone to team up with or fight against. Honestly, with everything going on, I think Season 3 of Solo Leveling will be Jinwoo’s most difficult yet.
