Say Goodbye To One Piece On September 1

The globally acclaimed manga series, “One Piece,” has long dominated the Japanese market but is currently witnessing rapid expansion in international territories as well. Over recent years, there’s been a significant surge in the show’s popularity abroad, reaching such levels that it even garnered a live-action adaptation.

The widespread popularity of One Piece on an international scale can be attributed to its accessibility across multiple streaming services like Netflix. This accessibility has granted fans the opportunity to immerse themselves in countless thrilling episodes and explore the intricate universe crafted by Eiichiro Oda. However, all good things eventually conclude, and September 1st is shaping up to be a sorrowful day for One Piece enthusiasts. The reason being that Netflix will be removing certain One Piece content from its platform, causing much discontent among the fanbase.

Netflix Is Set To Remove One Piece Content From The Platform

One Piece: Film Gold And Some Anime Specials Will No Longer Be Available

Netflix has become the most extensive streaming service globally, but several years ago, it wasn’t particularly impressive for anime enthusiasts due to limited options. However, as time progressed, Netflix significantly expanded, and now anime fans have access to a wealth of series on the platform. A notable example of this growth is the popular show One Piece.

It’s true that One Piece became available on Netflix several years ago, which was a delight for fans worldwide. Unfortunately, there’s been some disappointing news lately – it’s been confirmed that certain One Piece content will be leaving Netflix’s library.

The most notable absence in content will be the deletion of “One Piece: Film Gold.” This film has been highly appreciated by “One Piece” enthusiasts, and its removal will undoubtedly be felt, as it showcases one of the most intriguing movie villains from the series, Gild Tesoro.

The animated film “One Piece: Film Gold” and two other related pieces are being taken off Netflix. The special anime titled “One Piece: Heart of Gold” is also leaving, as it was produced to promote the movie. Additionally, the episode “One Piece: Episode of East Blue – Luffy and His Four Crewmates’ Great Adventure” will no longer be available. This particular episode provides a brief summary of the story of the East Blue 5’s adventures.

Last but not least, I’m all about the epic “One Piece: Sky Island Saga” condensation – the Episode of Skypiea! Admittedly, the adaptation isn’t flawless; it skips some key scenes due to time constraints, which is understandable given the original’s expansiveness. However, for dedicated fans like me, it doesn’t take away from the excitement this arc brings!

All Of One Piece Is Available on Crunchyroll

The animated series “One Piece” is exceptionally lengthy, airing weekly, which means the episode count continually increases every week. As of now, there are over 1100 episodes in total that you can find and watch, even including special episodes and films, all available on Crunchyroll.

For manga enthusiasts, the next installment of One Piece, Chapter 1158, will be published in two weeks. Typically, new chapters of One Piece are released every week. In Japan, these chapters become available at 12AM JST on Monday, but most international readers can expect to access it on August 31. So mark your calendars, fellow fans!
