This post contains spoilers for Demon Slayer.
The movie Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle was a huge success with both critics and audiences. People loved its vibrant animation and compelling story. Beyond the positive reviews, it’s also been a major box office hit, grossing over $700 million worldwide. The film has already been nominated for a Golden Globe and is a strong contender for an Oscar nomination as well.
The Infinity Castle movie was definitely the most talked-about anime of 2025. It’s still playing in cinemas, which is keeping the excitement going. But it’s likely that another even more impressive anime will come along soon and take its place.
Gintama Yoshiwara In Flames Is Releasing In 2026
The Movie Has A Lot Of New Scenes
- Gintama Yoshiwara in Flames remake will be better than Infinity Castle movie
- The new Gintama project releases in February 2026
Recently, it was announced that the Gintama Yoshiwara in Flames movie is getting a remake with completely new animation. The film will adapt the “Yoshiwara in Flames” story arc, where Gintoki and his friends battle Housen, a powerful figure known as the Night King of Yoshiwara.
Gintoki usually handles his fights well, but Housen is an Amanto – a member of a powerful alien race much stronger than humans. This story arc is packed with exciting action and suspense, keeping viewers completely engaged. That’s why a remake is a great idea; fans will be thrilled to see these incredible battles recreated with improved visuals.
The remake of Gintama Yoshiwara in Flames is coming to Japanese theaters on February 16, 2026. While it’s currently unknown if the movie will be available on streaming services, that information is expected to be announced soon. Fans in Japan or those visiting the country around that time will be able to see Sakata Gintoki and the rest of the cast in action on the big screen.
Gintama Yoshiwara in Flames Remake Is Better Than Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Movie
It might sound surprising, but many fans actually think the Gintama Yoshiwara in Flames arc is better than the Infinity Castle movie. A big reason for this is that the movie left things on a cliffhanger and didn’t give enough screen time to characters outside of the three main fights, making the story feel unfinished for a lot of viewers.
Unlike previous adaptations, the remake of the Gintama Yoshiwara in Flames arc will tell the complete story. Fans will finally see how the battle between Housen and Gintoki ends, without needing to wait for a sequel.
One of the biggest problems with the Infinity Castle movie was its slow pace. Despite aiming to adapt over 20 chapters of the story, the studio only managed to include 18, resulting in a nearly 2.5-hour film. This contrasts with the upcoming Gintama movie remake, which is expected to be better paced and won’t feel overly long.
Animation style is a matter of personal preference – some people love the vibrant look of ufotable’s work, while others prefer the cleaner animation in Gintama. However, even if you set aside the animation quality, the Gintama Yoshiwara in Flames remake is generally considered better than the Demon Slayer Infinity Castle movie.
Demon Slayer Infinity Castle Movie Part 2 Release Date
The Second Movie In The Trilogy Doesn’t Have A Release Date Yet
As a Demon Slayer fan, I know everyone’s wondering when we’ll finally get to see the second part of the Infinity Castle arc. From what I’ve gathered, it looks like we’re probably looking at a 2027 release. Ufotable spent over three years animating the first part, and if they’re working on both parts at the same time, 2027 seems realistic. But if they can’t dedicate enough resources, it could easily be pushed back to 2028. It’s a bit of a wait, but hopefully worth it!
If There’s a Way… I Have to Keep Trying to Come Up With It.
Rumors suggest ufotable aims to complete the Infinity Castle trilogy before 2030, though that seems doubtful. If the rumors are true, we might see the final movie in 2030. However, ufotable hasn’t confirmed anything, so fans will need to wait for an official announcement.
