Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Is Focused On The Culling Game

Even before the latest season of Jujutsu Kaisen began, fans expected it to cover the highly anticipated Culling Game arc. However, the season started with a different storyline: Itadori Yuji’s desperate attempt to escape from the authorities at Jujutsu High. After Gojo Satoru was trapped, these officials were no longer held back and could act as they pleased. Because they always opposed Itadori being Sukuna’s host, they immediately ordered his capture and execution.

Yuta Okkotsu received orders to eliminate Yuji Itadori, but Gojo Satoru had already alerted him to the situation. Yuta devised a plan to complete his mission while ensuring Itadori’s survival. Once Itadori was presumed dead, Yuta intended to rejoin Maki and their allies to strategize their next move. After reuniting, the group agreed to seek out Tengen. Meeting with him, they understood that ending the Culling Game would be incredibly difficult, so they split up to speed things along. Choso and Tsukumo remained with Tengen to guard him against Kenjaku.

The Perfect Preparation Arc Has Already Concluded

Maki headed to the Zenin clan’s treasury, but her father attacked her and left her for dead. Luckily, Mai saved her life, sacrificing herself in the process. Afterward, Maki destroyed almost the entire Zenin clan before joining the Culling Game.

Itadori and Megumi needed to convince Kinji Hakari, a former Jujutsu High student who was currently suspended, to rejoin them. Hakari had been punished for disagreeing with the school’s strict rules and had started his own fighting club for jujutsu sorcerers. To get a chance to talk to him, Itadori and Panda had to pretend to be someone else. Luckily, their plan worked, and Hakari agreed to meet with Itadori.

It didn’t take long for Hakari to discover Itadori, and he immediately started attacking him. But Itadori held his ground, and Kirara eventually intervened, stopping the fight. She persuaded Hakari that Itadori wasn’t affiliated with Jujutsu High. Once Hakari believed her, he stopped the assault and offered his assistance. After that, the group—with Kirara staying behind—headed off to join the Culling Game.

Higuruma Will Be At the Center Of Attention

I’m watching Itadori and his friends try to end this Culling Game and rescue Tsukimi. Their plan involves changing the rules so they can either eliminate other players or convince those with high scores to do it for them. They opted for the latter, sending Hakari and Panda to find Hajime Kashimo, who was already in a fight. Apparently, Kashimo isn’t just a strong sorcerer – he’s actually an ancient one, reincarnated, and somehow connected to Kenjaku. Being from a much older time, he’s incredibly experienced in jujutsu.

  • He’s already earned 200 points and used half of them—100 points—to add a new feature. This feature lets everyone see each other’s names, their colony, how many points they’ve earned, and the rules that have been established.

Kashimo thinks this new rule will finally let him battle a truly powerful opponent—someone comparable to Sukuna, whom he seems fixated on. Hakari and Panda are heading to face him, and they’re aware he’s an incredibly dangerous fighter, so they’re preparing for a tough battle. Their fight promises to be spectacular and will likely be a highlight of the third season.

Itadori and Megumi are searching for Higuruma, a strong competitor with 100 points, within Tokyo Colony 1. Though they haven’t had extensive experience fighting curses, they’re a formidable pair and shouldn’t be taken lightly. They were split up upon entering the barrier, but both are capable even when working alone. Given that the next episode of Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 (Episode 8) is titled “Tokyo Colony 1 Part 2,” it’s very likely Itadori and Megumi will play a significant role.
