Say Hello To Konoha’s New Yellow Flash In The Boruto Series

This article contains spoilers from the Boruto series.

I’m totally hooked on the Boruto series right now! The Two Blue Vortex arc has been amazing – the fights are incredible, and the characters are actually getting some really interesting development, which is something a lot of us felt was missing earlier on. Seriously, Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is just firing on all cylinders! It’s throwing the next generation of ninja into some seriously epic battles, and we’re watching new legacies unfold and history being made right before our eyes. That’s what makes this part of the story so unbelievably exciting!

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex also focuses on remembering and respecting the great ninja of the past. The series frequently references Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, highlighting his incredible abilities. As fans will recall, Minato was known as the Yellow Flash of Konoha, and now, many years after his passing, it seems Konoha has a new ninja earning that same title.

Konoha’s Yellow Flash Was A Renowned Legend

  • Minato Namikaze Was Feared All Over The World For His Speed
  • Minato Was The Fastest Ninja In The World

When people think of Konoha’s greatest leaders, three names immediately stand out. First, there’s Hashirama Senju, the original Hokage. He and Madara built the foundation for the village and created a system that’s still used today. Then, of course, there’s Naruto Uzumaki, the main character, and rightfully considered the most legendary ninja ever. He saved the world from complete destruction several times, making him truly exceptional.

We can’t forget Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage of Konoha. Though not the main hero, he saved the world in his own way. He was known throughout his career as a ninja genius with incredible power. People called him the ‘Yellow Flash of the Leaf’ because of his amazing speed – no one could match him in battle when it came to how quickly he moved.

Honestly, I need to improve. My skills with the Flying Raijin just aren’t on the same level as Lord Fourth’s, and I don’t have his natural talent. — Boruto Uzumaki

Minato was an incredibly powerful and fast fighter, often winning battles in just seconds. He was so quick that even Lightning A, known for moving at the speed of lightning, couldn’t keep up. Beyond his natural speed, Minato also mastered a unique teleportation technique. He learned the Flying Raijin jutsu from the Second Hokage and significantly enhanced it, making it his own.

He quickly became known as the fastest ninja of his time. With his bright yellow hair, ability to teleport, and incredible speed, people called him Konoha’s Yellow Flash. This nickname terrified his opponents during the Third Great Ninja War and helped him become a legendary figure.

Boruto Uzumaki Is The Next Yellow Flash Of The Leaf

  • Boruto Has Learned The Teleportation Ninjutsu As Well
  • Boruto Uzumaki’s Teleportation Is Not As Good As Minato Namikaze

Although Minato’s achievements are legendary and unlikely to be repeated, we often see new ninjas develop skills similar to those of past masters. Boruto Uzumaki, for example, has jutsu that remind fans of Minato’s techniques. Like Minato, Boruto can use the Flying Raijin technique, though his version is less powerful and not quite the same.

Despite the name still being the Flying Raijin Jutsu, Boruto’s teleportation technique works a bit differently. He’s become very skilled at using teleportation ninjutsu. He creates special medallions, charges them with his chakra, and scatters them around. By recognizing his chakra signature on these medallions, he can instantly teleport to their locations.

This isn’t the story of a boy wanting to be Hokage. That was my father’s dream. This is my own story! — Boruto Uzumaki, Boruto Chapter 1

I’m seriously blown away by Boruto’s teleportation skills! It’s made him unbelievably fast – easily one of the quickest ninjas ever. In a fight, he can appear and disappear, completely catching opponents off guard. And his new Flying Raijin jutsu? It lets him cover huge distances instantly! Everyone keeps comparing him to the Yellow Flash, and honestly, it’s not hard to see why. He’s got the same blonde hair as his grandpa, and moves with that same incredible speed. I truly believe it’s only a matter of time before people do start calling him the Yellow Flash, because he’s quickly becoming one of Konoha’s most powerful ninjas, no doubt about it!

Boruto Will Surpass His Father And Grandfather

Boruto Uzumaki is incredibly gifted, and while he’s still developing his abilities, he’s predicted to surpass even the strongest Kage. In fact, he’s already more powerful than legendary shinobi like Minato Namikaze and Hashirama Senju. Currently, only his father, Naruto Uzumaki – especially when using Baryon Mode – exceeds his power level.

As the Boruto story unfolds, Boruto is expected to become even more powerful than Naruto in his Baryon Mode. This is because Boruto possesses natural talent, a deep connection to the Otsutsuki clan, and the unique power of Momoshiki’s Karma. Plus, he’s received expert training from Sasuke Uchiha.

Boruto is predicted to achieve incredible things. Eventually, he’ll learn to fully control the power he inherited from Momoshiki, becoming even stronger than most members of the Otsutsuki clan. This will likely make him one of the greatest ninja ever, and fans are eagerly anticipating seeing his full potential realized.

The Namikaze-Uzumaki Family Dominates In Konoha

The Namikaze-Uzumaki family will undoubtedly become legendary within the Naruto story. Though Minato isn’t technically an Uzumaki by birth, his marriage to Kushina links him to the family. Minato, Namikaze, Boruto Uzumaki, and Naruto Uzumaki together represent an incredibly powerful lineage – each one considered the strongest ninja of their era.

If this family continues to have descendants, they’re likely to be incredibly powerful, potentially the strongest of their generation. However, they’ll have a lot to live up to, given the achievements of their ancestors. By the end of the Boruto series, this family is poised to be considered the greatest of all time.

Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is the continuation of the Boruto story, created by Mikio Ikemoto and with supervision from Masashi Kishimoto. Picking up three years after the events of the Omnipotence arc, the series focuses on Boruto Uzumaki’s efforts to protect the world, alongside his complicated relationship with Kawaki. Chapter 30 of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex will be released on January 20, 2026, at 10 AM EST / 3 PM UTC. Fans can read it for free on the Manga Plus and Shonen Jump apps.
