Imu granted these followers their immense strength, and according to Scopper Gaban, Conqueror’s Haki is the only way to defeat them. The story strongly suggests that Sanji will develop Conqueror’s Haki during the Elbaf arc, and it’s likely he will soon awaken and learn to control this powerful ability.

To add to everything else, it’s now confirmed that Sanji is the parallel to Scopper Gaban within the Straw Hat Pirates. Just like the three main fighters and both right-hand men of the Roger Pirates could use Conqueror’s Haki, the same will be true for the Straw Hats, as Sanji is expected to awaken this ability soon.

I really think Sanji is going to need Conqueror’s Haki, especially when they reach Elbaf. We’ve already seen Luffy, Loki, Gaban, and Zoro use it, and it’s become clear that Sanji will need it too if he wants to protect his crew. Honestly, facing opponents like the Holy Knights, or even a powered-up Dorry and Brogy, he’ll be at a serious disadvantage without it. At this point, it feels almost certain that Oda will give Sanji Conqueror’s Haki eventually – it just seems like a matter of when it will happen in the story.
