The new arc of *Boruto: Two Blue Vortex* has generated a lot of excitement, but the biggest buzz is around the anticipated return of Naruto Uzumaki and Sasuke Uchiha. Currently, both characters are out of action: Naruto was sealed away by Kawaki, and Sasuke was turned into a tree during the story’s time skip. Despite being unable to fight at the moment, fans are confident that Naruto and Sasuke will eventually make their comeback.

It’s almost certain that Naruto and Sasuke will return, and fans expect they’ll be more powerful than ever. According to the Boruto databook, Sasuke trained extensively during the time skip and became more powerful, eventually exceeding Naruto’s abilities. Currently, Naruto is significantly weaker than Sasuke. However, the creator, Kishimoto, has stated that Naruto and Sasuke are meant to grow at a similar pace and ultimately be equals in strength.

When Naruto returns, he’ll need to become more powerful. The best way for him to do that involves the Tailed Beasts. He could seek out the eight other Tailed Beasts – and even Kurama – to borrow their energy, or he could absorb the power of Jura, who is essentially a living Tailed Beast and can’t be killed.

Sasuke Uchiha has clearly become incredibly powerful after his training. His sessions with Boruto have already pushed him to a level where he could fight and even wound Code, even while holding back some of his own strength. This is significant because Code, without restrictions, is stronger than Jigen – the same Jigen who once defeated both Naruto and Sasuke when they had Six Paths powers. Currently, Sasuke is at the peak of his physical abilities, and when he returns, he’s expected to be strong enough to defeat opponents like the Otsutsuki. There’s also a good chance he’ll receive an upgrade to his Mangekyo Sharingan.

Boruto began as a continuation of the popular Naruto series, and it’s been challenging to establish its own identity because of Naruto’s huge success. However, Boruto is now truly stepping into the role of a leading character. Whether he’ll become a hero as great as his father, or even exceed him, remains to be seen.
