The *Boruto* series is consistently getting more thrilling, and fans expect Kishimoto and Ikemoto to keep raising the stakes as the story unfolds. So far, *Boruto* has delivered incredible battles, like those involving the Shinju, and engaging story arcs, such as the Land of Wind arc. Beyond the action, the series also features compelling political elements. While Konoha is led by the Hokage, their power isn’t absolute. The Hokage relies on funding from the Daimyo and must also consider the opinions of the Village Elders.

Currently in *Boruto: Two Blue Vortex*, Shikamaru Nara is temporarily leading Konoha as Hokage, but he’s facing serious challenges. It seems Konoha will likely have a new Hokage soon, mainly due to disagreements between Shikamaru and the village’s governing Elders and Daimyo. Konohamaru Sarutobi is the most probable candidate to become the next Hokage, and his leadership promises even more dramatic developments.

Konoha is currently facing a period of instability. It’s been more than three years since Naruto Uzumaki, the Seventh Hokage, was presumed dead, and this has had a significant impact on both the village and the wider ninja world. Despite this, Shikamaru Nara has been working hard to restore order and maintain stability as best he can.

Because of this, Konoha might soon officially appoint a new Eighth Hokage. If Shikamaru Nara is removed from his position as acting Hokage, most fans expect Konohamaru Sarutobi to become the next Hokage. Konohamaru is seen as someone the village can easily rely on, and while he supports Boruto, he hasn’t become directly involved in his situation yet. He may be the most suitable choice for the village’s leadership.

Sarada Will Eventually Become The Hokage

Her Dream Is To Follow Naruto’s Footsteps

Ultimately, Sarada Uchiha is the most likely candidate to become Hokage in the Boruto series. While she’s recently become much stronger, she still needs to gain more experience and mature before she’s ready to lead. Currently, she lacks the necessary preparation to become Hokage.

While Sarada is likely to become Hokage eventually, it won’t be until the very end of the story. For now, Konohamaru will need to fill that role.
