- Early access crime simulator Schedule 1 has peaked at over 400,000 concurrent players, surpassing expectations.
- The next update is tentatively scheduled for April 7.
The development team behind Schedule 1 is gearing up to release an update soon, offering a sneak peek of the exciting features in store. In this upcoming release for Schedule 1, players can look forward to exploring new shops and adding some stylish decorations to their virtual spaces. Additionally, there are a few unexpected treats, which Tyler, the creator, refers to as “quite extravagant.
On March 24, the cooperative crime simulator game was launched as early access on Steam. In just its first two days, it skyrocketed in popularity, reaching over 130,000 simultaneous players – an impressive feat for such an early release. The game reached an astounding peak of over 414,000 concurrent players by March 30, and since then, its daily peaks have remained high, consistently exceeding 318,000 as shown on SteamDB’s charts.
Tyler announced on Twitter that the complete update is expected to roll out around April 7 at dawn. This update will introduce two new shops – a Boutique Store and a Pawn Shop – which might offer alternative methods for players to earn in-game currency within the game “Schedule 1“. Moreover, the update will also provide fresh wall decorations. Originally, Tyler aimed to make an open beta version of the update available one day before its official launch; however, to prevent any major flaws from escaping notice, he eventually opted to scrap the open beta.
Schedule 1 Next Update Release Date
- Monday, April 7 (Tentatively)
Apart from the previously announced Schedule 1 feature set for an upcoming update, there’s also exciting news about additional features. In one of his earlier posts, Tyler shared a picture of a wall adorned with two shelving units containing various drugs, products, and items, labeled as “wall-mounted stuff” in the crime simulator’s next update. Although the creator hasn’t provided specific details on how wall-mounted features will function within Schedule 1, comments suggest that players are eagerly anticipating a wider range of storage, organization, and transportation options for items, which is a highly demanded feature among fans.
The forthcoming announcement about the update could ease concerns for some supporters who have been anxious about the game’s future production.
However, Schedule 1, which is currently under scrutiny for copyright infringement, has sparked controversy following a complaint by Movie Games S.A., the producer of the “Drug Dealer Simulator” series. The similarities between Schedule 1 and their games, released in 2020 and 2024, have led to this investigation.
The creator of Schedule 1 has yet to address these allegations publicly, but the potential legal action has stirred up discussions within the game’s fanbase.
