The much-awaited beta version of the Schedule 1 Cartel update for the crime simulation game was unveiled this week, but players have already unearthed a significant gameplay issue that they’d like addressed promptly. Though it’s still in its early stages, Schedule 1 has been consistently receiving content updates since its launch in March. The latest of these, the Cartel update, is undeniably the most substantial so far.
Following minor setbacks, Tyler – the lone brain behind Schedule 1 – ultimately unveiled the Cartel upgrade on August 13th. This patch brings a wealth of fresh content to the game, such as the Benzies family, a formidable rival cartel gang. Initially, players must advance through the game before encountering the Benzies. However, when they do, they’ll unlock a plethora of new activities and aspects to engage with, including ambushes, stealing from dead-drops, robbing dealers, the option to interact with the cartel during a truce, and much more. Regrettably, due to the expansive nature of Schedule 1‘s Cartel update, it has also been accompanied by several initial issues.
Schedule 1 Players Want Shotgun Shells Changed
As a dedicated gamer delving into the latest update of Schedule 1, I’ve been noticing some peculiar, time-consuming money-making methods that have left the gaming community yearning for change. In a recent post on the game’s subreddit, user GottaB3KiddingM3 aptly highlighted the frustrating aspect of being limited to buying only one shotgun shell at a time, sarcastically asking, “Are we really serious about this?” Other players appear to echo these sentiments, with another user stating that their primary issue with the update is the need to buy shells individually. They lamented, “It takes forever to accumulate enough shells,” expressing hope for the implementation of buying boxes or something similar soon.
At present, the update can only be accessed in the beta version of Schedule 1. Consequently, players may encounter gameplay problems and bugs. Unfortunately, Tyler has not yet announced an exact date for the official release of the patch. If you’re keen on trying out this update, you’ll need to join the beta version by following these steps: go to Steam, right-click the game, open Properties, then choose Betas, and change Beta Participation to Beta. However, it’s important to note that some issues have already been identified within the community, so for those seeking a smooth gaming experience, it might be wiser to wait until the update is fully released.

Although the ongoing beta testing for Schedule 1’s update continues, it seems that developer Tyler has wasted no time in developing new game features for the upcoming patch. On Twitter, just hours following the launch of the Cartel update, Tyler shared a sneak peek of a graffiti feature for Schedule 1. He mentioned that this feature will be implemented in the next beta version, or potentially the one after that. Beyond the incorporation of graffiti, it remains uncertain what additional features Tyler plans to work on.
