The Island is coming back for another year in WWE 2K26.
According to insiders, the popular mode that first appeared in WWE 2K25 will return with a new storyline that continues the narrative from last year’s game.
An Island In Chaos In WWE 2K26
WWE 2K26’s story mode will focus on a battle for control between three groups on the Island of Relevancy. With Roman Reigns no longer the dominant force, these factions are vying for power. One of these groups, known as TopMob, will also be called the Order of Anarchy.

WWE 2K25 featured ‘The Island’ mode on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. It wasn’t initially clear if the mode would be available on PC. Throughout the year, ‘The Island’ received exclusive items like outfits and wrestlers. Details about what’s planned for the mode this year will be revealed later.
TopMob is aware that some creators have received invitations to their yearly preview event. Details about the event from these creators should be available around mid-February.
WWE 2K26 is likely to be released around March. While the exact platforms haven’t been announced, the game is anticipated to include at least four new match types and other improvements.
