As a die-hard fan of the Five Nights at Freddy’s series since its inception back in 2014, I must say that Scott Games never disappoints! The release of screenplay snippets for the upcoming movie sequel has sent my heart racing with anticipation.

Scott Caves commemorated the anniversary of Five Nights at Freddy’s by unveiling FNAF: Into the Pit. Moreover, they also distributed four script pages; however, there was a condition attached to them.

To mark a significant occasion, it’s worth noting that the popular video game series and franchise, Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNAF), recently celebrated its 10th anniversary. Developed by independent game creator Scott Cawthon, FNAF gained popularity with its horror theme centered around spooky animatronics like Bonnie the purple Rabbit, the giant yellow chicken Chica, a broken-down robot pirate fox named Foxy, and Freddy, a slow-moving brown teddy bear. First released on August 8, 2014, FNAF became a sensation. The franchise encompasses ten main video games, various spin-offs, novels, and a movie adaptation. In celebration of fans, Scott Games provided an early release of the game Into the Pit, while stirring excitement with the release of multiple script pages for the eagerly awaited FNAF sequel. However, a surprising twist in the post sparked debate among fans as they discussed which of the four script pages would be incorporated into Five Nights at Freddy’s 2.

On Thursday, Scott Games revealed that he would be posting a genuine page from the Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 movie screenplay, but there was a twist – not all of the pages were authentic. Only one would end up in the next film. He added that it might be more intriguing if the real page came with three fake ones. Scott Games announced this during the celebration of the franchise’s 10th anniversary. Approximately twenty minutes later, he shared four screenplay pages with his followers.

Scene 1 depicts Toy Chica gently petting Abby as she inputs a code to liberate them. The code originated from Vanessa, who is experiencing discomfort as an enigmatic force manipulates (apparently another animatronic) to coerce her to reveal the code. Vanessa monitors Toy Chica and Abby via a computer screen in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria’s storage room.

In a variety of opinions among online viewers, there’s an ongoing discussion about which page accurately represents the script for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2. While it’s debatable that any single page could be correct, page four seems to align best with the film’s development as confirmed by Cawthon, who desires the movie to follow the game’s storyline. Since FNAF 2 is a prequel to the first movie featuring Mike and Abby, this implies that the events in FNAF 2 occur before the initial Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza movie, making it possible that Abby was not born or extremely young during that time. Furthermore, as Mike did not meet Vanessa until the first film, her absence from FNAF 2 supports this theory.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 will hit theaters on December 5, 2025.
