Sea Of Thieves: How To Get Blade Of Souls

As a seasoned Sea of Thieves player with years of swashbuckling under my belt, I must say that the latest update has sent a shiver down the spine of every pirate worth their salt! The return of Captain Flameheart and his Burning Blade ship has brought a new level of excitement to this already thrilling game.

In Sea of Thieves, the latest season has arrived, reintroducing the infamous pirate Captain Flameheart. He’s back at the helm of the Burning Blade ship in a fresh World Event. Here, players must engage in intense battles against this formidable captain, but beware! Contrary to its name, the Burning Blade doesn’t actually catch fire. The event is chaotic and exciting as numerous online pirates vie for control of the Burning Blade, making it a hotly contested prize.

In this game, you’ll find new locations called Skeleton Camps, where you can engage in rituals and solve puzzles. These activities offer a good deal of treasure that you can later sell. However, to interact with certain items, you need the Burning Blade Ship. This guide will show you how to obtain the ‘Blade of Souls’ in Sea of Thieves and what options become available once you have it.

Following the defeat of the Captain, the vessel will begin to lower gradually, and you’ll receive a message indicating that you have two choices: assume control of the ship or let it submerge for the rewards. To obtain the Blade of Souls, opt for the second choice and deliberately sink the ship.

What To Do With The Blade Of Souls

Upon obtaining the Blade of Souls, you’ll notice its similarity to the in-game Cutlass melee weapon. The functions of Slash, Block, and Lunge remain consistent; however, each attack triggers a burning effect on enemies. This additional effect increases the damage dealt over and above the standard slash damage.

Different from many other game items, this weapon allows for unrestricted mobility. This means that you can run at full speed while carrying it with you.

In this game, since an item like the Blade of Souls functions as a single entity, you’re unable to keep it permanently in your inventory. Instead, you can choose any Trading Company to sell it to. The value of the item rises based on the number of rituals you complete before selling. For instance, if no rituals have been performed, the base value is 7,000. Each ritual completed increases its worth up to a maximum of 13,000. Additionally, by selling the Blade with three or more rituals performed, you’ll earn the Secretive Stash Commendation, which becomes available after the transaction.
