Second LEGO Pokemon Minifig Detailed in New Leak Hinting at a 2-in-1 Deal

Okay, so I’m hearing some really cool rumors! Apparently, LEGO might be releasing a Pokémon Trainer minifigure, which would be awesome on its own. But get this – there’s talk that they could also make a bigger, oversized version of it! I’m hoping this leak is true, because I’d totally grab both!

LEGO and Pokémon first teamed up in March 2025, releasing three building sets: Eevee (72151), Pikachu & Poké Ball (72152), and a larger Venusaur, Charizard, & Blastoise model (72153). These initial sets were brick-built and didn’t include any minifigures. However, recent news indicates LEGO is now developing Pokémon minifigures, though it’s still unknown how many sets released in 2026 will feature them.

LEGO Reportedly Working on Up-Scaled Pokemon Trainer Minifigure and More

A new leak from LEGO insider Chief Wiggum suggests a Pokémon Trainer minifigure is on the way. LEGO is also reportedly working on a larger version of this character, planned for release in late 2026. This larger model is being developed alongside an Up-Scaled Mrs. Claus, and sources hint that a Spider-Punk replica could also be among this year’s oversized minifigures. While a specific release date isn’t known, the Pokémon Trainer minifigure is likely to arrive around summer 2026, coinciding with the expected release of other LEGO Pokémon sets.

Up-Scaled Pokemon Trainer May Include a Regular-Sized LEGO Minifigure

So, I’ve been hearing rumors about a bigger-sized LEGO Pokemon Trainer, and it’s interesting. Chief Wiggum mentioned it, but LEGO usually doesn’t just release these giant figures on their own. They almost always make a regular-sized version of the character first, in other sets. If this Up-Scaled Trainer is happening, I’m betting we’ll see a normal-sized one too, probably sometime in 2026. LEGO’s been doing these two-in-one packs lately, like with the giant astronaut and the regular minifig, so maybe this Trainer will be the same – you get the big one and the standard version in one set. It’s just a guess, but it seems likely based on how LEGO’s been doing things.

A new LEGO Pokemon trainer minifigure has reportedly leaked, making it the second figure discovered from the planned 2026 LEGO Pokemon collection. The first was an Eevee figure, which is expected to be included in the 72154 Poke Ball set – a large, openable Poke Ball model. This set is rumored to cost $259.99 and contain over 2,200 pieces. Previous reports suggested the Poke Ball set would include several minifigures, so this new trainer figure might also be included.

Okay, so I’m hearing that a bunch of the new LEGO Pokemon sets coming out this year might have something called “Smart Play” built in. Basically, it’s LEGO bricks with batteries, lights, and speakers that can actually react to things around them – pretty cool, right? But here’s the catch: it sounds like LEGO is only releasing these special sets in a few places at first: the US, UK, France, Poland, Germany, and Australia. If the next wave of LEGO Pokemon stuff drops in August, we probably won’t get official details until around June 2026. That’s a long wait!
