Few things beat the comfort of a good gaming chair – one that supports your back, keeps your arms comfortable, and feels incredibly soft, almost like sitting on a cloud.

Many gaming chairs, despite being comfortable, aren’t very attractive. Some are plain and lack interesting designs, which can be disappointing considering the price. If you’re investing in a gaming chair as a treat, it should also look good while you’re using it.

Secretlab is known for its stylish gaming chairs, but they really excel through collaborations with popular brands. They’ve partnered with franchises like Arcane, League of Legends, and Demon Slayer, creating impressive chair designs. However, their latest Monster Hunter collection is particularly noteworthy and stands out from the rest.

Secretlab has released gaming chairs inspired by monsters from Monster Hunter World: Fatalis, Rathalos, and Arkveld. While all three are excellent choices, this review focuses on the Arkveld edition. We’ll cover everything about the Arkveld Titan Evo gaming chair, including how comfortable it is, how easy it is to set up, and, most importantly, how well it captures the look and feel of the Arkveld monster.

Arkveld Brought to Life

Okay, seriously, Arkveld is quickly becoming one of my favorite monsters in Monster Hunter Wilds, and I can totally see why everyone loves him! He’s just a blast to fight, but honestly, he might be one of the coolest-looking monsters ever made. Those chain-like wings are incredible, and the way his white skin has these subtle purple and black hints? Stunning. And when he charges up his electricity attacks, that bright purple glow running through him just makes him pop – he looks amazing during the fight!

Capcom created a distinct look for Arkveld, and Secretlab successfully captured that same style in their Titan Evo Arkveld gaming chair.

I’m a huge Monster Hunter fan, and I’m especially excited about Monster Hunter Wilds. I was lucky enough to preview the game earlier this year, and I spent over 160 hours playing it – I enjoyed every minute! Since Arkveld is my favorite monster in the series, I was thrilled when Secretlab offered to send me their Titan Evo gaming chair, which is designed after this powerful white dragon.

The Secretlab Titan Evo Arkveld gaming chair perfectly captures the look of Arkveld from Capcom’s games. Even before assembly, it’s clear the chair was designed to mimic the game’s aesthetic. The chair features a striking grey base color accented with black and purple details, and prominently displays Arkveld’s Hunt logo on the back. It also includes a large Monster Hunter Wilds logo on the front of the backrest.

You can assemble this chair in under 15 minutes thanks to Secretlab’s straightforward instructions – it’s the easiest gaming chair I’ve ever put together! Once built, you’ll have a truly stunning chair that’s built to last through years of gaming. Just look at how great it looks – you won’t want to replace it!

A Gaming Chair With Passion Behind Its Design

The Arkveld gaming chair features stunning artwork, particularly in the delicate details around the edges of the backrest. White chains with purple lights extend down the sides of the chair, nearly connecting in the middle where the Monster Hunter logo is displayed. This design is further enhanced by subtle stitching resembling Arkveld’s claws along the chair’s sides – noticeable, but not distracting from the striking chainblade effect.

The chair prominently features the Monster Hunter Wilds logo on the backrest, right where you’d sit. It’s a striking silver color with bold, thick stitching, making it the largest Monster Hunter logo ever seen on a chair – and it looks fantastic.

As for the seat itself, Secretlab took a more casual approach to its design.

When you turn the chair around, you’ll immediately notice the large Arkveld hunter’s mark – it’s actually bigger than the Monster Hunter logo itself! Plus, the words “Monster Hunter” are printed near the base. All these details come together to make a truly unique chair back for gamers.

The chair itself has a more relaxed design. Although the colors—gray with touches of purple and black—are similar to the Arkveld edition, it doesn’t strongly feature the Monster Hunter theme. The Arkveld claw marks are printed on the front, but they’re subtle and hard to notice. It’s a good detail, but Secretlab could have done more to make the chair visually stand out. Even so, despite being less flashy, the seat coordinates well with the backrest.

Enhance The Chair With Top-Notch Armrest Tops

If you’re looking to upgrade your gaming chair, Secretlab sells different armrest tops. I tested three options – the standard armrests, Technogel Premium, and Plushcell Memory Foam. The Technogel and Plushcell tops really enhance the chair and offer a noticeable improvement over the default armrests.

Both the Technogel and Plushcell armrest pads improve comfort and the chair’s appearance. Technogel is especially helpful for players with wrist or elbow pain, as it evenly distributes weight and includes a cooling feature ideal for extended gaming. These pads are mostly black with a hint of blue, but the Plushcell Memory Foam armrests generally look better on the Arkveld chair.

I chose the Plushcell Memory Foam armrest tops for my Monster Hunter Arkveld chair, and Secretlab happened to send me the grey color, which matched the chair’s design perfectly. It really feels like a natural part of the chair’s overall look. Plus, they’re incredibly comfortable – the memory foam is soft on your arms and gradually molds to their shape with use.

Is It Worth The High Price Point?

The Titan Evo Monster Hunter Arkveld Edition gaming chair currently costs $664 on the Secretlab website, but that doesn’t include taxes or shipping, which could bring the total price over $700. This makes you wonder if it’s a worthwhile investment. As with any expensive, luxury item, it really depends on your individual needs and circumstances.

If you can afford it, I highly recommend this chair, especially if you’re a big Monster Hunter fan. The beautiful design and artwork alone make it worthwhile, and it’s a great way to support something made with real passion. Plus, it’s incredibly comfortable and well-built – it should last for years. It feels like a smart purchase!

Okay, so the chair is amazing on its own, but if you really want to level it up, the armrest covers and the Monster Hunter pillows for the back are awesome. They definitely add to the look if you’re going for maximum style points. Just be warned, they’re not cheap! The armrest tops are $89 and the pillows are $69 each, so it adds up on top of what’s already a pricey chair. Still, if you’ve got the budget, I’d say they’re worth considering!

You don’t really need to buy extra accessories with the chair right away. The included pillow and armrest are perfectly usable, so you could always add upgrades later if you want.

It’s a perfect addition to any gaming setup, especially for fans of Monster Hunter.
