The creators of Sonic the Hedgehog have announced a new audio story with a dark, detective-like feel.
A new Sonic the Hedgehog audio drama called “The Chaotix Casefiles” was announced on January 20th with a trailer on the Sonic the Hedgehog YouTube channel. The series, featuring Vector, Espio, and Charmy Bee – the team behind the Chaotix Detective Agency – will be available on podcast platforms starting January 27th. The trailer hints that Sonic and Dr. Eggman will also make appearances.

Sonic the Hedgehog is Celebrating its 35th Anniversary
The team managing the Sonic the Hedgehog brand started the year by releasing a trailer announcing a year-long celebration of Sonic’s 30th anniversary – marking three decades since the character first appeared on the Sega Genesis in 1991. This new audio drama seems to be just the beginning of a lot more exciting content planned for fans.
I remember first seeing the Chaotix back on the Sega 32X – it was a Knuckles game, if I recall correctly, way back in ’94. But they really started showing up more often as awesome supporting characters when Sonic Heroes came out in 2004. And now, finally, they’re getting their own moment to shine with this new podcast, starting January 27th! I’m really excited to hear what they’ve been up to.
