Interestingly, the appearance of Silksong at the Xbox Games Showcase in 2023 suggested that it would be released within half a year after its presentation. However, contrary to expectations, Silksong is set to launch on September 4, 2025. This means it’s coming out much later than initially anticipated, yet earlier than some fans had speculated. Last week, a short trailer was released confirming the game’s release date and indicating that the long-awaited release is almost here, ensuring another exciting month for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.
In September 2025, Hollow Knight: Silksong might just be the most anticipated new addition to Game Pass. However, it won’t stand alone, as Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is set to join Game Pass on September 17, and the console version of Frostpunk 2 – a well-received city builder – will arrive a day later on September 18.
