Servant of God Walkthrough for No Rest for the Wicked

The ‘Servant of God’ is the second major quest in No Rest for the Wicked. It sends players into an infested mine east of Sacrament to find Madrigal and her team. Getting to the quarry isn’t easy – the paths are tricky, and dangerous enemies lurk around every corner. If you want to continue your adventure in No Rest for the Wicked, this walkthrough will guide you through the key parts of the ‘Servant of God’ quest.

Head to the Nameless Pass

The ‘Servant of God’ quest won’t begin until you speak with the priests near the campfire at the entrance to Sacrament. Once you’ve talked to them, the quest will start and you’ll be able to continue.

First, head to the Nameless Pass. You’ll find it east of Sacrament, near the Rookery. From the Rookery, cross the bridge and turn right. Follow the path until you reach another bridge. You should be at the correct level for this new area, but if you’re not, you can gain experience by defeating enemies in the current zone.

Nameless Pass Walkthrough

This guide will walk you through the Servant of God quest, so we’re leaving out some less important side content for now.

Once you’ve crossed the bridge, enter the cave to find a Whisper and learn how to make Dracaena Dumplings – these are an improved version of the Crab and Mushroom meals. Continue east along the main road until you reach the Old Cottage, but it will be locked. Go upstairs, jump over the gap, and defeat the enemies. To the left is a shortcut back to the Whisper, while climbing the vines on the right will take you further into the area.

Head right, then continue east. Climb over the fallen tree and fight your way up to the higher areas. Look for the vines shown in the second picture, and follow them to a large elevator that takes you down to the main entrance of the quarry.

The Quarry

Okay, so to get into the quarry in Sacrament, you need to find the Whisper – it’s near the bottom of the elevator. But before you go exploring north, seriously, follow those minecart tracks heading south first! They’ll take you to one of the main gates and connect you right up to the Nameless Pass. It’s a bit counterintuitive, but trust me, go south first!

If you want to fast travel to this Whisper, you’ll need to offer up some items first.

Feel free to explore and discover hidden paths and treasure chests. The enemies in this area are quite challenging, so it’s a good idea to bring Repair Powder to restore your health if you fall. Eventually, you’ll find a large, locked gate. You can open it by controlling a crane to access the upper walkways. Getting onto the crane platform can be tricky, but it’s definitely possible with a little effort.

First, find and interact with the Whisper in the next room, which will unlock a shortcut back to the main hall. Then, return to the Whisper’s room and go upstairs. Once outside, head right onto the walkway and pull the lever near the gate to open it.

Keep exploring until you discover a hidden room with a spinning device in the center. To continue, try opening either the second or third door, then search for a path to the higher platforms above. Once you’re up there, run to the left, going around in a circle, until you reach the top ledges. From there, go down and find another wall covered in vines that leads upwards. Climb to the top, and you’ll arrive at the edge of Madrigal’s camp.

Okay, so when you get to the first bunch of ledges, you’ll spot a guy trapped in a locked room. I’ve actually got a more detailed walkthrough on how to get him out, you can find it here.

The Madrigal’s Camp

Head to the main staging area where you’ll find Madrigal Seline and Governor Ellsworth with their soldiers. Watch the cutscene that begins, then return the way you came. The inquisitors who were blocking your path should be gone, allowing you to follow the path towards the Cerim Chamber. Finally, interact with the Whisper at the end of the path.

You can’t reach the Cerim Chamber directly right now. You’ll need to go through a cave instead. Starting from the Whisper, head left. Break the pillar that’s in your way, and then use it to cross the gap. Continue along the path until you reach a small waterfall, and jump down into the water.

Luckily, the cave isn’t very big, and the path to the main chamber is simple. Just head upwards, and you’ll soon find the entrance to the Cerim Chamber. Break the pillar to make it easier to get to the Whisper.

Riven Twins Boss Fight

This boss is a tougher version of the large enemies with poles you sometimes encounter near Sacra. It’s far more aggressive and uses a wider range of attacks, including sweeping hits, powerful slams, and spells related to the Plague.

To defeat the Riven Twins, try to parry their attacks, as they’re slow and easy to anticipate. If parrying is too difficult, focus on dodging into their attacks. Be careful when they start spinning – their weapons will hit you throughout the entire spin, so keep dodging to avoid damage.

Keep attacking consistently! If you deal enough damage to the Riven Twins, you’ll stun them, letting you get in some extra attacks.

Once you’ve defeated the boss, go up to the platform above the arena and interact with the altar. After watching the cutscene, exit the chamber. The Madrigal will appear, completing the quest. This will unlock most of the Nameless Pass and the nearby quarry for you to explore. However, you’ll need to advance further in the story before the rest of the region becomes accessible.

Where to Go After the Servant of God?

Return to Sacrament and go to the town plaza where Maker Danos is normally located. Ellsworth will be giving a speech, and when he finishes, a dog will appear and lead you on your next quest. Just make sure you’ve completed the “Of Rats and Raiders” quest first, or this won’t happen.
