Enjoying Assassin’s Creed Shadows and hoping for more Assassin’s Creed games? Do you also like Far Cry? If so, you’ll be pleased to hear there’s more to come!
Ubisoft has officially acknowledged what many fans already suspected: they’re working on new installments in both the Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry series, with at least two new Far Cry games in development.
The confirmation came from Ubisoft CEO and co-founder Yves Guillemot.
Expect More Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry Games From Ubisoft

I was reading an interview with Yves Guillemot over at Variety, and the interviewer asked if we’ll be hearing about what’s next for Assassin’s Creed, Rainbow Six Siege, or Far Cry anytime soon. Basically, they were fishing for news about upcoming announcements!
Interestingly, Guillemot directly addressed the topic, revealing that Vantage Studios has multiple projects in the works. Several Assassin’s Creed games are currently being developed, including both single-player and multiplayer options, with the goal of expanding their already large community of over 30 million players.
So, Ubisoft’s CEO just let slip that they’re working on two new Far Cry games! It sounds like they’re really excited about where they’re taking the series, and honestly, as a fan, that’s awesome to hear. I’m already hyped to see what they’ve got planned.
So, Ubisoft hasn’t said if they’re making a Rainbow Six Siege 2 yet, but they did let slip that Siege still has a huge player base – around 2.5 million of us are logging in and playing every day! That’s pretty awesome to hear as a player.
Although it wasn’t unexpected, Guillemot’s announcement is a rare bit of positive news for the publisher lately.
While Ubisoft received investment from Tencent, which helped avoid immediate collapse, it hasn’t been enough to overcome the company’s ongoing series of challenges that have been building for years.
When it comes to Rainbow Six Siege, Guillemot didn’t confirm or deny whether we’ll see a sequel
Unfortunately, the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time has been cancelled. Despite being in development for years, and with a planned release date this year, the project has been scrapped.

As a huge Assassin’s Creed fan, I’ve been hearing tons of buzz about a possible remake of Black Flag! It’s been all over the internet, but so far, Ubisoft hasn’t officially confirmed anything. I’m really hoping it’s true, though!
The most recent Far Cry game is Far Cry 6, launched in 2021. We likely won’t have to wait long to hear about Far Cry 7, and there’s a possibility we’ll also see a new standalone Far Cry game alongside it.
