The second season of “Severance,” which has been eagerly awaited by fans following a three-year break, is now here, leaving viewers as bewildered and on tenterhooks as they were during its initial run. Given the peculiar yet enthralling storyline of this hit Apple TV+ show, devoted fans have concocted numerous intriguing theories, one of which revolves around the demise of a beloved character from “Severance.

In its second season, the series “Severance” featuring Adam Scott, Zach Cherry, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, John Turturro, Christopher Walken, and Patricia Arquette continues to delve further into the enigmatic Lumon Industries. As Mark searches for clues about Miss Casey’s disappearance by creating missing person posters, viewers are left wondering about the true nature of Lumon’s treatment of its severed workers and the ongoing saga of Cobel as she battles to rejoin MDR in order to witness Mark’s progress through Cold Harbor, one of the major mysteries from “Severance”.

Severance Fans Think Irving’s Death Is Imminent Due To Foreshadowing Detail

The cherished character Irving Bailiff, commonly known as Irving B, from the series “Severance”, has been employed at Lumon for quite some time prior to the initiation of the consciousness and memory separation process. Since he also opted for this procedure, he’s been meticulously documenting the work assignments given to Lumon’s severed employees, concealing his research within a chest filled with his father’s old Naval memorabilia. In season two, viewers witness Irving grappling with significant struggles as his “outie” embarks on a quest for Bert in the external world, only to discover that he had a companion. This revelation wreaks havoc on both his professional and personal life. Currently, spectators are speculating that Irving could be at risk of termination due to a subtle hint found in an unexpected edit in episode one of season two.

As I watched the captivating scenes unfold in Severance, I couldn’t help but notice a chilling moment when Irving appeared to be contemplating something distant, just as Milchick’s motorcycle swerved ominously close. This seemingly casual encounter left many viewers, including myself, wondering if it was merely an accident or a subtle hint at things to come.

The theory gained traction when fans spotted Irving’s head displayed on a platter, presumably prepared by Milchick. This revelation only served to heighten the uncertainty surrounding Irving’s destiny in the show.

This season, Severance has pushed the boundaries of visual storytelling, and this theory is no exception. However, the prospect of losing such an intriguing character would be a significant blow to the dedicated fanbase. One viewer astutely pointed out that Irving seems to possess unsettling knowledge due to his eerie paintings of Lumon. Given his solitary lifestyle, it’s not hard to imagine how the company could exploit this isolation, as there would be no one looking for him if he were to disappear.

I recently noticed a fellow fan mention that John Turturro, our beloved Irving, has been rather secretive about his potential return in future seasons during interviews. Another enthusiast even speculated that if Irving meets his end, it could be at the hands of Bert, unveiling the darker side of Christopher Walken’s character. Excitingly, season two is set to conclude in March with ten episodes, and fortunately for us, series director Ben Stiller has already confirmed its continuation for a third season.

Severance season two, episode 4 will be released via Apple TV+ on Friday, February 7, 2025.
