In the Anno 117: Pax Romana campaign, you start as an appointed official tasked with constructing the city of Juliana under Emperor Lucius. After making some initial choices – like deciding whether to bring sardines to an imperial event – you’ll face a new challenge. The Empress wants her daughter, Diana, to attend her birthday party and asks you to locate her. Once you find Diana, you’ll have to decide whether or not she should actually go to the party in Anno 117: Pax Romana.
Should Diana Attend The Party In Anno 117 Pax Romana
Ultimately, whether or not Diana goes to the party won’t change the main events of Lucius’s story. However, what happens to Lucius will be different depending on if Diana is there. If you want Diana to be safe, it’s better if she stays home. But if you’d rather see Lucius embarrassed, bringing her along is the way to go.
Once you’ve finished getting ready for Julia’s birthday, the Empress will send you on a mission to find Diana in Anno 117: Pax Romana. The game will tell you she was last spotted in Lilybaion, but a new area will appear on your map, highlighted in red. Look around that area to find Diana’s ship.
Taking this shortcut saves you the travel time to Lilybaion, but it won’t change how you interact with Diana, whether you visit Lilybaion beforehand or not.
After you locate Diana and learn her reasons for being there, you can try to convince her to come to the party, or you can let her leave. These options function similarly whether you’re playing as Marcia or Marcus in Anno 117: Pax Romana, though the conversations will be different depending on your character.

Okay, so if I manage to convince Diana to come to the party, I need to make sure her ship gets there safely. The game lets me do that by basically ‘assigning’ my own flagship to escort her – I just have to select my ship, then right-click on Diana’s ship to start the escort.
Empress Julia will be happy at the birthday party, but the Emperor will be furious. Diana will challenge the Emperor about his actions, and he unexpectedly suffers a fatal heart attack. This leaves Diana overwhelmed with guilt, and she believes she is responsible.
Diana Doesn’t Attend The Party In Anno 117 Pax Romana

If you allow Diana to leave without consequence, she won’t come to the party. Instead, she’ll ask you to deliver a gift to her mother. Go back to the birthday celebration, and you’ll soon see a servant with a knife attempt to kill Lucius.
No matter if Diana goes to the party, Lucius is still destined to die, though the circumstances will be different.
