I’m really excited about Code Vein 2! From what I’ve heard, it’s a lot like other Soulslike games where your choices actually matter. Apparently, you’ll have to make a big decision pretty early on that will impact the story, maybe even the ending. It’s cool that they’re including that kind of player agency!
Once you finish the tutorial in Code Vein 2, you’ll need to decide whether to go back and save Noah or continue with the main story. Here’s a breakdown of what happens with each choice, and which path is recommended.
Should You Go Back To Save Noah in Code Vein 2
Once you’ve helped Valentin by checking out the two dig sites and handling the danger there, you’ll get the Forma Storage Tower Key. Feel free to explore the rest of the island whenever you like – it won’t affect the story. When you’re ready, head to the Storage Tower to watch a cutscene that brings you back to the present, and says goodbye to Noah.

The game hints that Noah might die protecting the island, and if that happens, you’ll be given the option to return to a previous point. Characters and in-game messages warn that going back could change the story. Don’t worry, you’re not locked into a decision – you can choose to return at any time before the game ends, even if you’re not sure right away.

Okay, so if I head back for Idris, I instantly get this awesome weapon called Battle Axe: Idris’s Conceit! Then, I can go down to the tower and find Noah in a tough fight with a really strong enemy. Get ready, because this is a boss battle, and honestly, it’s the hardest one I’ve faced so far, especially at this point in the game!
If you can, block the boss’s slow attacks. Successfully blocking them creates a great opportunity to strike back and inflict heavy damage.
After you beat the boss, you’ll get a Blood Code. Back in the present, you can find a chest with the Shield of Stupor inside. There’s also a trophy associated with this boss. Importantly, saving Noah makes him available as a companion during your present-day explorations. Since Lou is your only other companion, you can switch to Noah if you think his abilities are a better fit for the situation.
After rescuing Noah, you’ll find him near the Mistle in MagMell where you can give him presents. He’ll also ask for your help finding special, engraved weapons hidden in three areas of the game.
